Balincourt

This is a lovely quiet, comfortable hotel with very nice welcoming staff. Breakfast was great, lots of choice and all cooked fresh to order. Served from 8am on Sunday. We were worried about the FREE onsite carpark after reading other reviews, but although it is a little tight, we found it manageable and a real bonus, even with our large Ford Ranger Pickup. We would definitely recommend and stay again.

Very pleasant guest house approximately 10 rooms, rooms are comfortable and clean with good housekeeping service, breakfast is excellent,all the staff are very pleasant,parking is available,railway station and sea front are within walking distance, good bus service (did not use),this is our fourth year of staying here.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Balincourt this last week for 5 nights. Room was (room 1) fantastic. Very comfortable with 2 armchairs and a small settee. Big comfy bed. The breakfasts were first class and really set you up for the day. Parking was so handy. Never used the car after arrival because the bus service was so good with bus stop being outside the door of the Balincourt as well. Wouldn’t hesitate to use the hotel again . The only downside of the trip was Bournemouth town itself being so rundown and uninspiring apart from the gardens.

We have just got from this hotel after a 2 night stay, my partner booked a weekend away for us before having an operation, £300 for 2 nights for the upgrade of the our room. Had early check in which was good, on arrival room looked big which was nice, bed was huge and very comfortable but the bathroom was awful, it was small and we had no hot water from the sink or the shower we didn’t shower for 2 days!!! Well couldn’t as water was freezing. Room was so cold we had to put radiator on, I let the owners know we didn’t have hot water especially for the shower, only to be told we had to let the water run for a bit, which we did, nobody came into our room to check the problem. I came back to read the reviews and room 1 which we were in had the same problem back in 2022!!! There was no bar and this should of been stated on the website, parking was tight to get in and out, breakfast we had to keep asking for items that was left off the table and second time we arrived for breakfast we had moved tables so had to ask where we were sitting. Bit disappointing really as it wasn’t a cheap place to stay and we expected more for our money!!!

If I could rate this with six stars I would. It is excellent. Not pretentious but real VFM. It is clean, comfortable and the people running the place are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is fabulous and more than you can eat. We are actually still in the hotel and I’m writing this on my last day here. My wife and I would love to come back, hopefully not too far into the future.

Room was cold for the price we paid. A very limited choice for breakfast. Not everything on the breakfast menu was available. The chicken slice tasted of pork.
