This hotel sometimes does not have a receptionist at his window. But this is not a problem at all, because there are no problems or questions. Everything well managed. But if you need to ask anything you can call a special phone number and talk to receptionist. There are several floors and quite a lot of rooms. I recommend taking the high level ones so that there are fewer people around you and it is quieter. Everywhere in the corridors there are carpets, which makes this hotel cozy. All carpets and walls are clean in the corridor. Wi fi internet works well. In general, this is a clean space on all floors, a special person walks and vacuums. A packet of shampoo, soap and a towel are provided every day. Our room for some reason had sand on the floor, so we didn't remove our shoes the first day, but the next day we invited a woman to vacuum our room and the floor became much nicer. The bed is comfortable. I did not hear any sounds from the neighbours either at night or during the day, although their soundproofing is not perfect. Probably because we were in the period when few people stay in this hotel. Lucky to wake up in perfect silence. About breakfast: Coffee, tea, cookies and necessary dishes was provided in our room at the table. If you are traveling with friends, I recommend taking a room with a bath. Pay attention to this when you make a reservation. There are rooms with many beds and one bathroom for all of this people. And There is a room with only 3 beds where there is only a shower. And there is also a room with 3 beds where you have your own bathroom with bath for 3 people. About breakfast: There is coffee, tea, serials, milk, cheese, ham, butter, marmalade. But I missed fried or boiled eggs. But this is certainly not a tragedy. There is a small lounge in the lobby near the reception window. There you can sit on the sofa, in front of the TV, or play billiards (for which you have to pay 1 pound). Billiards is not wonderful, not new, but somehow you can have fun. We enjoyed. Very nice location! Not Main Street (so quit) and in same time close to everything. 7 minutes to the beach, 5 minutes to all the main cafes, restaurants and shops. And It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the center of Bournemouth. I warn you that the beach here is wonderful, but this is Great Britain and it is very windy here on the beach. Maybe there are not windy beaches, but you have to look for them carefully somewhere else. For example Durdle door beach. It is far away. But we managed to go there for 1 whole day and enjoy that beach. It wasn't windy at all. But it if you need to that beautiful and not windy beach you have to take some energy for journey in the morning and return back to the hotel in the evening. (1 hour by public transport). So for this price it is really good hotel. Believe me, to the person who always looking for best service.

To start with the positive, the location is very good, the breakfast is fine and the staff helpful. On the negative side the room we had was grubby and not particularly clean, it needed decorating many years ago. However, the price is very cheap and the hotel is near to bars ect and is only a 15 minute walk to the beach.

This place is definitely below budget, I've stayed in cheaper hotels before and the standards have been much higher. Continental breakfast - stale bread, cheap ham, cheap cheese, warm yoghurts.. not exactly continental. Dishes piled up at the sink, open bin, ham and cheese not covered, tea & coffee in canisters not covered, yoghurts just left on the tray not kept cold! There's only so many ham and cheese sandwiches you can eat in a week. We went to the Harvester down the road, much better! The room - twin room, decent size but dirty. Room wasn't cleaned even though I was told it would be done on day 4, new towels were given on day 5. Had to take my own rubbish down to reception. Bathroom - powerful hot shower but that's the only good thing. Bath needed new enamel, taps needed a good scrub, mould on the walls.. just manky! Location - false advertising, it is not just a few minutes walk to town centre, a good 20 minutes. Very noisy with drunk people shouting all night. Will we stay here again? Absolutely not!! It definitely needs a visit from the hotel inspector and it is NOT recently refurbished as it states! Avoid at all costs, pay a little more and go somewhere decent!

Had a wonderful couple of days at this property. The staff were kind and helpful. The rooms were spacious with all the required facilities, The ensuite bathroom was a little cramped and overall public area decor was a little dated. You got exactly what you paid for. A budget hotel for the perfect get away. Breakfast was self help, eat as much as you want, continental style. Parking was ample, and cheapest anywhere in the local area.

It's big old building needs lots of modernisation we booked 2 double room (4 person) it's very small rooms. Shower water very slow & shower head doesn't work...bathroom door has no lock for privacy. Over all very basic it's better to pay little more & choose a better hotel no a hostel as this one is. Breakfast only few toast & some cereals & hard boiled eggs...Over all 4 out of 10.

The poor grammar on the front of the hotel reads, "Bournemouths friendliest hotel". I'll give him credit, at least he smiled as he tried to sting me for £5 to park. After a frosty start, I decided to park on the road instead. The room (upon opening the loose and unsecure lock) absolutely STUNK. The smell was like that of a man that the day before had eaten a large bucket of very spicy food, then done a triathlon in there. Combined with the heat, this was utterly putrid. The bedding is thin and feeble, and one can only imagine the filth on which you rest your weary head. The so called breakfast is essentially toast and uncovered, sweaty old ham in a hostile room that has all the charm of a prison visiting room, complete with lumps of missing paintwork on the walls, crudely dabbed in with a splodge of the wrong colour. I'd rather be in prison than go back here and I feel that this is a matter for environmental health to look into really.

This was my first trip away since September 2020 and it was time to take my daughter to her first football match. I found this hotel by chance and booked. A twin room for 2 nights in the Easter Holidays. An absolute bargain for for less than £40 a night. It had all the basics. Bed, bath and a kettle. It made a great base for us. The price included a continental breakfast (cereal, toast, yogurt as well as some other offerings). The room had teabags, coffee and sugar and if you needed more, you could always ask at reception. There were toiletries in the bathroom. The soap was amazing and despite the size, there was enough to wash rinse and repeat! The room itself was a good size. The beds were comfortable and the pillows were nice. Free wifi too! All in all, you get what you pay for and in this case, we got more. 100% recommend
