I booked this hotel because it said there was a bar an restaurant. Unfortunately both were closed, which on a rainy and stormy night was less than ideal. I wouldn’t have booked if I had known in advance
that I wouldn’t be able to get dinner.

great choice of the coffee and tea double the amount of Premier I found the bed to be big which helped getting a comfy nights sleep it is very quite and peaceful stand over and watch the rushing water pass under the building easy parking and access friendly staff, looks a little dated but value for money, pub across the road if restaurant is closed easy access to A41

Going back to visit friends in Berkhamsted after a few years away and thought this is local for my visit , however when mentioned to my fiends they advised to look elsewhere, it has been illegal migrant housing for the last few years, thanks but no thanks, rather sleep in a bus shelter, and the tales of pest companies doing regular bed bug fumigation made my skin crawl, a big no no from me , thank heavens i never booked!!!!

Very comfortable. Good value for money and a great location for where we were going. Breakfast was average although acceptable. Parking on site and opposite a great pub restaurant was very convenient. I would definitely stay again if in the area.

We required a cheap, good night's sleep and got it. Plenty of parking, our room was clean But be warned there is noise from the water rushing past, we rather liked it. Our room was slightly on cool side but eventually warmed up. Didn't have breakfast. Can't fault our visit.

Booked an overnight stay which was easy to do. On arrival found the receptionist, Shawn, very courteous and helpful. Room was a decent size and spotless, bed very comfortable, toiletries included. Morning staff were again polite and helpful, with nothing being to much trouble, full english breakfast was tasty, and all this at a reasonable price.

We were visiting our family and chose to stay in the best Western watermill hote in Hemel Hempstead. The receptionist, Shawn was so accommodating and helpful, we could not have wished for a better welcome. When we came back to our room after a trip to the local pub, Shawn was checking up on who we were and welcomed us back to the hotel. We are very impressed and feel that our safety and security were being looked after. We'll done Shawn, thank you.

We needed a good Hotel on our way home from a Charity Walk. This came up n a search so we thought we'd give it a go. Met by Shawn on reception who could not have been more pleasant. Offered complimentary bottles of water as we had literally just finished our walk. Shown to our room personally and the owner even carried our bags up for us. Lovely room, view over the river at the back of the hotel, lovely clean modern room. Superb bed, superb bathroom. Food wasn't available at the time but plenty of places to eat, two pubs across the road. They did do breakfast which was typical tea, toast cereal and full English. The cooked breakfast was lovely, quality sausage, well cooked bacon, runny eggs - perfect for us. Loaded car and Shawn came out to say goodbye and take the key card. Cannot recommend the place enough. If we end up in the area we will certainly stop here again.
