We had finished a long ski and hike from the Petit Combin and arrived at the restaurant exhausted. The staff could not be more friendly and inviting. We had the plat du jour which was a gastronomic tour de force. Whist the decor might be sterile the food and staff make up for everything.

We started the Tour Des Combins walk here - the owners were incredibly helpful and let us leave our car and bags. The rooms were comfy and with amazing views and the restaurant was lovely.

As a previous reviewer has said "First sights are not very encouraging in this old chalet with antediluvian fabric wallpapers and rather dark reception, but it turned out that a stay there was not that bad. Admittedly the rooms would need a serious overhaul but, even so, they are clean, correctly equipped, quite functional and, importantly, the bedding is comfortable" Some 5 years later the hotel is the same. What it lacks in terms of decor is made up with the warmth of the welcome. The family that runs it are a large part of the small community there and you'll have the locals, bus trips, tourists and passer-bys all stopping to enjoy the view and hospitality. Being in Switzerland, it isn't cheap so wait until you get to the Italian side if you are on a budget. While you are there though enjoy the view, the air, and the people passing by.

Très bon séjour
Très bon séjour, chambre petite mais cosi et très propre, spa très agréable, restaurant un peu cher mais très bon. Couloirs de l’hôtel « dans son jus » mais propre. Très bien situé.
Nous recommandons ce lieu pour un bon moment de détente.

Helt okej hotel om man är där en heldag för att njuta av deras fina spa. Men som hotellrum på genomresa är det inte prisvärt. Slitna rum som är gamla för det priset. Dock trevlig personal och god mat samt fin miljö ute.

We stayed one night and ate twice in this hotel. Regarding the room, we had expressly requested a renovated room. This one, of good quality, was relatively well equipped (linens, bathrobes and small TV). Unfortunately, the bed was tiny for 2 adults and the pillows were completely uncomfortable (too soft). The TV speakers crackled. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were okay for this type of establishment but nothing more. The service, overall, was rather friendly and pleasant. Note that this hotel establishment is partially renovated and it is visible because the floors are a little disparate. Nevertheless, the prices are very reasonable.
