We luckily got a last minute booking with Hotel Arolla when their weekly tenants left a day early to miss the French holiday traffic. The location was perfect for our overnight stay in Bourg St Maurice so we could have an early departure to be at the train station by 0700 which was a 5 minute walk away. The owner was so helpful and pleasant, and speaks very good English. The hotel was sparkling clean.

This a beautiful wee Hotel in the perfect location in Bourg. Spotlessly clean with food and drink available to suit guests needs and specialising in local produce. But the outstanding feature of the Hotel are the hosts who go out of their way to be helpful and make you feel at home. We punctured our car just before we arrived and Thierry made it his mission to get us back on the road at the least possible cost to us. What a star.

We had a great two night stay. Thierry was flexible and accommodated our late date change and was a wealth of knowledge re a local motorbike ride . The room was comfortable and clean and breakfast offered plenty of choices with cereals, crossaints, yoghurts, cheeses etc. dinner is offered however we found a great Indian restaurant ( separate review) . Off street motorbike parking is available. Overall a great stay and wished we could have stayed longer.

Our stay in Bourg Saint Maurice was, in many ways, as good as it was because of our time at Hotel Arolla. It's a great base for EVERYthing in the mountains around the town. Everything is readily accessible from the hotel. Staying in town was lovely. [Note: The emphasis is on EVERYthing because the snow/ski conditions weren't great.] Thierry and Nathalie have created a lovely, welcoming environment and are excellent hosts.

An absolutely amazing stay made great by Thierry and Natalie. They couldn’t do enough to help us and we’re so friendly. Rooms are small but everything is spotlessly clean and the shower was excellent. 5 minute walk to the funicular and there is storage for skis, laundry and the ability to dry clothes.

A great little B&B in the centre of Bourg ..the Proprietor Thierry speaks perfect Engkish and makes great coffee ..the rooms are comfortable and well decorated ,,breakfast is typically French and there is the availiblty of a home cooked evening meal if you ask. The only downside is that there is no lounge so it is to your room if theter is nowhere else to go...

Stayed a week at the Arolla. Two couples. We had two rooms on the ground floor as my wife has walking difficulties. Rooms were perfect quite big with a good size shower and bathroom. Breakfast were just what you would need. French-breads cereals home made jams (mmmm) yogurts cheeses and meats. Basically Thierry would look after you’re needs. A nice wee area out back to relax too with benches and Thierry was on hand with a supply of cold drinks. Much appreciated. All I can really say is I would recommend this hotel 100% Thierry and his wife went above and beyond to make sure you had everything you needed. Including doing our washing. I would have no hesitation booking with him again.

My skiing buddy and I stayed here for 5 nights. Great hotel in a great location in central Bourg, close to several local restaurants. Thierry, the proprietor, was extremely welcoming and informative. We shared a family room on the top (second) floor. Clean, adequate space, warm and quiet. We had breakfast (extra 11 euro per day) which was great (cold dishes only). Thierry was extremely helpful and knowledgeable throughout our stay. Would definitely recommend and we will stay here again. We did have a car but you could manage without if need be if you only want to ski in Les Arcs.
