Beautiful location in a magnificent valley. Stunning old Royal palm trees and diverse other vegetation. We drove after midnight from Tontoula airport, and management kindly arranged to leave keys and instructions for us. Design seems to aim for a rustic look. We had a villa with jacuzzi, which the family enjoyed. The peacocks adopted us and arrived on the jacuzzi deck (perhaps hoping the children would feed them); it was fascinating to watch their behaviour. Beds were very comfortable. Staff were friendly and gave advice about walks to take. We only had the continental breakfast on our first day and then self-catered, buying ingredients from shops in nearby Bourail. The kitchen would be enhanced by a decent chef's knife to prepare food. One negative was that bedroom 2 and the living-room were on a different level from bedroom 1, kitchen and bathroom., and negotiating those stairs (and the timber walkway from reception to our villa) was a challenge for one grandmother in our group. Price was reasonable for the quality of accommodation.

We spent a nice stay at this lodge. The lodge is wonderful, very quiet , the apartment are spacious, clean with a wonderful view. The jacuzzi are very relaxing . The restaurant is great. If ever we come back to Bourail for sure we will go there !

A real find. A relatively late minute change saw us spend a night here and we’d wished it had been more. Built about ten years ago by the current owner, the lodge is a series of paired villas stretching up a grassy valley above the restaurant. Options include a villa with outdoor garden and spa or a simple villa. They’re comfortable and well appointed with views down the valley. The main lodge is built around a pool surrounded by bush with an open air restaurant under a living roof. The menu is taken from a choice of the one entrée, main and dessert that changes nightly. But from looking at those around us, you can obviously order what you want ahead of time. The main dish on our night was the traditional French cod dish Brandabe de Bec de Cane-Gratuite. A cheesy dish with dried cod and really good. Bourail is close to the coast and a variety of activities, including a beach with nesting turtles and the restored Fort Téremba. There is good access to hiking and cycle trails from the lodge. Not too far away is the Parc des Grandes Fougères (Giant Tree Ferns.) The one slight caution is the road access which is narrow even by New Caledonian standards. Take care on the single-lane roads. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back for a longer stay and it was our first choice to go back to when it looked like we might have had our return flights home cancelled due to cyclone activity. Highly recommended.

Superb room in the middle of nature, quiet. The room is very comfortable and clean, well appointed, the decor is neat. The meal is a unique quality menu, we enjoyed our stay very much. It is a hotel that I recommend.

Superb accommodation, surrounded by nature in a huge beautiful park, despite a rainy start, we were able to enjoy walks in the park. Very comfortable and well appointed suite, hearty breakfasts and good food. Management and staff very welcoming.

Great stay except that I did not expect the black wood suite to be so close to the road and the parking lot. There should be more photos allowing the customer to get an idea close to reality before booking. Otherwise the service was very good, the chef and the team were very attentive. Breakfast pastries can be better reheated so as not to give the impression of dating from yesterday. I recommend this lodge. Thanks

Great stay, in a suite with jacuzzi and a magnificent view, the bungalow is very well laid out, one bedroom upstairs, one downstairs, a small problem all the same, in the bathroom, the soap dispenser is badly placed, near the superb stone washbasins a shelf is missing to put something on and even a towel rack next to the washbasins, when we go down at night to the restaurant from the top bungalow we had to use the torch, because we can see the stairs on the other hand small lamps are useful when ascending. . We had fun in the pool. We had dinner in the restaurant, it was very good.

Découverte de cet endroit pour une saint Valentin entre amis. Malgré la pluie, le charme de l’endroit nous a surpris. Nous étions dans une des villas, juste en haut de l’accueil-restaurant. Le concept des villas est superbe, mais dommage que l’entretien ne soit pas au rdv. C’est vieillot, mais ça reste chaleureux. Nous avons bien profité de spa et avons apporté de quoi nous faire notre soirée sur place : apéro et dîner, puisque la villa est bien équipée.

Nous sommes venus au Betikure Lodge pour passer la fin de l'année 2024. Nous avons grandement apprécié le site, un véritable écrin de verdure, paradis des oiseaux et très calme. Nous avions un grand lodge avec deux chambres séparées et une magnifique vue plongeante sur la vallée. Presque rien à dire pour le lodge agréable à vivre et très spacieux, le jacuzzi apporte aussi un espace de détente très appréciable. Compte tenu du prix payé (44000 Cfp par nuit, le petit déjeuner pourrait être inclus !). En revanche, le contact avec le client est inégal, parfois cordial parfois un peu froid. L'autre point d'amélioration est la restauration qui n'est pas à la hauteur des prix demandés et qui ne présente pas suffisamment de fraîcheur et de produits locaux (ex : tartines de guacamole réalisées à partir de préparations toutes faites, poisson en papillote sans saveur, desserts un peu grossiers) sans compter des petits détails comme le fait de ne pas changer de couverts entre l'entrée et le plat, des tranches de pain rassis dans la corbeille ... Tout cela pour un dîner de réveillon à 11500 Cfp par personne (96 euros), boissons non comprises ! Au final, un rapport qualité prix global moyen. Dommage, compte tenu du site ...
