Kasbah Tizzarouine

A very nicely designed hotel with a beautiful swimming pool area. The rooms are furnished and decorated in a stylish but understated Moroccan tradition. The staff are kind, welcoming and helpful (as so often in Morocco). My quibbles are small but occasionally discomforting, and in a good hotel, one would not expect these inconveniences. 1. No water glasses in the rooms, not even tooth mugs. 2. The air-conditioning was either broken or deliberately fixed at 24 degrees - not very cool, and quite muggy in an enclosed space. 3. There was no internet anywhere save at reception. If you are in need of space, comfort and service, I recommend this Kasbah. If you want internet 24/7, go elsewhere.

Food We are vegetarian, and the he dinner Buffett was awesome

I stayed in a Cave room at this hotel on May 14th as part of a group tour. The room was tiny, the bed was so narrow that I could not turn, there was no fan or air conditioner and very little ventilation (a small window built into the door). We were told it would get cooler at night but this did not help in the heat of the day . The sides of the door were see through so there was no privacy. A tapestry was provided but when it was drawn any fresh air from the door opening was blocked. The rooms are claimed to be soundproofed - they are not. We could hear people talking from the poolside at the upper level. There was also no private balcony as claimed just an open verandah shared by all the rooms on that level. The room was not particularly clean. The bathroom shower sprayed water everywhere except in the shower area. The flush had to be worked at least twice to be effective. The restaurant staff were polite and helpful Overall not a good experience.

We stayed for one night as part of a tour, we were a little apprehensive given previous comments but we were pleasantly surprised. The bed was comfortable and the shower decent. The view off the cliff was very nice, contrast of mountains and lush green art below. We walked down the hill approx 800m-1km and ate hour in a rooftop restaurant but I understand evening buffet was available at the hotel. Breakfast was ‘OK’ and in a buffet spread, it filled me up and consisted mainly of bread / cereal and cake. For me the location and view was the best part of the stay and for this I would say I enjoyed the stay.
