Do everything you can to avoid having anything to do with this place. Extortionately expensive, with zero interest in delivering a quality service. I paid 3700 euros for 7 nights, just for a room, no breakfast. Rooms are nice, good view, comfortable beds etc, but plenty of things broken: the safe, the phone, the parasol had a broken spoke, no soap or shampoo/conditioner, only 2 cups, when we were 3… etc. all of which doesn’t exactly shout 4 star! I was astounded when reception told me that breakfast wasn’t included in the rate, and would cost 23 euros per person, per day. This would mean an additional 483 euros (this is the same price as the Barrière Fouquet hotel on the Champs Élysées!). I spoke at length to 4 different members of staff to ask if this could be included, all of whom nodded along and said they’d see what they could do, but no resolution or conversation resulted. Consequently, we ate breakfast outside the hotel every day at about tenth of the price. The rudest of the staff was their head receptionist who went to great lengths to explain why I was wrong about everything and was so rude and aggressive that I actually walked away whilst she was raising her voice at me. I asked multiple times to speak to the owner and was met with finger wagging ‘that is private information madam’. On the last day a man who said he was one of the co-owners said they could have ‘sorted something out’ on the breakfast problem, but that I had ‘spoken to the wrong person about it’. - despite me speaking to 4 different members of staff.’ The only person there who was friendly and polite was a lovely lady called Cindy. I have read several other reviews and it’s clear that the owners have invested in the property via a grant, but that’s where it stops. They have no interest in actually running a hotel, and the price is ridiculous for serviced rooms, which is what they are. You’re better off staying in one of the hotels near Deshaie or renting a villa. Whatever you do, don’t come here.

A nice hotel with access to the National park and for the water sports. The welcome was great including the rum punch. There is a nice beach a short walk away. The rooms were very comfortable. The small plunge pool was nice as there is no pool on site. The beach below is lovely. Also there is a beach with natural hot spring river flowing into it a short drive from hotel. The breakfast was fine.

This Caribbean hotel and spa is a lovely Oasis on Basse Terre. The staff are very friendly and the relatively new establishment is located on a breathtaking cliff with fantastic views of the sea. A short walk down the hill and there is a very quiet beach with access to the warm water and a restaurant bar full of flavors and libations.

This is not a Hotel with hotel service. This is a tourist residence. Nice new room, quite small and clean. Service is a disaster. Réception, arrival, booking confirmation , everything is complicated. breakfast service is long… long… and not very kind neither friendly. This new resort is managed certainly by people who made a financial investment ( with support of EEC funds…) but do not have no experience of providing guest services to people. Do not consider you will be in a high level service place or a hotel service, minimum here is the rule. Management is totally absent of the place. Asked to meet them to complain and explain what “service” means, they do not care , same for the employee who are not coming from the hotel and service industry. What a pity because the location is beautiful.

We arrived after a very long trip from Denmark. Noone spoke english We had to order breakfast The room were nice but our friends aircondition didn’t work so they didn’t get any sleep. The breakfast is only at our room. We should make out own coffe which was quite cold and very small. We had one tiny tin of milk. We startet to heat the coffe in the microwave after brewing it. We couldn’t get any cheese and There was a limit in all the breakfast which meant you could get yoghurt and fresh fruit. Fresh juice cost 7€ which is a lot comparded to the very high price for the room. We have never ever got so little breakfast. There should come fresh bottle of water, snacks and rumpunch very day. We only got two 500 ml bottle of water. The day bfore we left my kimono was taken and no new left. Our friends only had aircondition one night and they couldn’t get in touch with anybody at night to help. The restaurant was never open. We paid way to much for this place. We stayed close to Pointe-a-pitre the last night after our Cruise and the weather and service were so much better. We will never recommend the hotel to any and especially if you don’t speak french. The price is so high that you should expect a service way higher then this. And by the way. Our friends never head from the hotel after they asked for a refund because of the missing aircondition

Room not ready till 4… I asked if possible to see if we can get the room a bit earlier .. 3:30 Was the best she can do. The host then sent us to their “private thermal bath “ while waiting for our room. We made not 1 but 2 trips to Look for the so called thermal bath … to only find it was broken … I am certain we are not the first family to Wait for a room to find the “thermal bath” broken. We are currently still waiting for our room and not 1 person asked if we would like a glass of water or tea. Sorry to say … the Holiday Inn gives you a warmer greeting .. wish I could tell you all differently:/

On the one hand, super comfortable rooms and spectacular view of Pigeon Island and bay. Luxury touches and very, very private and quiet. On the other hand, so quiet - never saw other guests, no pool, beach is just rocks and garbage. The cold spa on the terrace might be more inviting in summer. There is also a sense of this being a new hotel trying to find its way. There are nice luxury touches, but then they do silly things like charging an extra 1.5 euros to provide milk with the coffee for the included breakfast. It's a comfy base to explore the area, but not much to do at the hotel itself. The Galets Rouges restaurant down by the water is a separate business but the same owners, and it is fantastic.
