I did not stay in the hotel only went for afternoon tea celebrating my birthday. They gave me a nice spot in front the fire. The afternoon tea was here k was the festive option. The scones were delicious, the sausage roll good quality, I will say the selection of mini cakes were a bit too sweet for me. They have a great variety of tea. Service was okay. They forgot to offer me sugar for my tea or an extra set of cutlery I ate some salmon sandwiches and then with the same knife I had to apply the cream for the scones not. Extra spoons for the cream and jam . Toilets were ok. You can pay with car or cash. I loved the relaxing music and the grounds. You definitely need a car to reach this place.

Visited Chilston Park for traditional Sunday lunch. Excellent venue and the staff were so attentive and helpful. Serenaded by the lovely Rachel who sang a wide variety of genres. Food was delicious. Only small criticism is have the horseradish and mint sauce more accessible. Food was delivered and we were asked if we wanted sauces only then to wait a 2 minutes (seemed longer) for them to be delivered! Will definitely be back though.

Couldn’t fault the hotel - friendly reception staff, clean smart rooms and excellent breakfast. The lounge area with real fire was perfect for relaxing and evening drinks - all the hotel staff were helpful and efficient and ensured we had a fantastic stay!

We booked an Anniversary stay at Chilston and were warmly greeted on arrival and we were allocated the Guilded Room. The room was beautifully decorated and the bed so comfortable. Thank you so much for the suprise chocolates and card which was very much appreciated. We had the pleasure to meet Beckie the duty manager who called to greet us with a pre-dinner juice. We dined in the Culpeper restaurant and were looked after by Matt who is a credit to the Chilston team. Our meals were of an exceptionally high standard of quality, quantity and presentation. Credit must go to Ali and his team for providing such an enjoyable 3 course meal. We enjoyed our breakfast, while looking out across the beautiful grounds. Chilston is a very special hotel and all the staff we met are so welcoming and helpful. We are already planning a return visit soon.

We had an amazing night away. The service was fantastic, room beautiful. Excellent tea tray, really sweet welcome letter. The grounds are beautiful. We had a drink in the bar and it was very relaxing. We had dinner in the restaurant. I had the quail and hubby had scallops. They were really lovely. Packed with flavour, service, ambience was really lovely. For the main I had salmon hubby had venison. My goodness hats off they were lovely. For pudding I had porched pear, hubby the lemon cake. We didn't have breakfast but the menu looked lovely. We would definitely go back. So relaxing and lovely.

Decided to take the family for a Christmas package at this hotel as it was a ‘special’ birthday. I’m so glad I chose here after researching several hotels because it was totally amazing. Nothing was too much trouble and every request was executed with speed and politeness. The food was delicious and we were impressed that everything went exactly to plan considering the amount of people staying over the festive period. You have an amazing team at Chilston! All family members said they had a magical time. Firework display was well received and the young lady doing the falconry display was very knowledgeable and interesting. It definitely won’t be our last visit. Well done to all the staff.

Just returned home from a Christmas break at the Chilston Park Hotel. This is our 4th visit in the past year and our experience is always superb. The Reynolds's room is fantastic, located in the mews section of the hotel and ideally placed for those of us with dogs (which usually for a hotel are treated as special guests). We ate all our meals in the hotel and found the food to be fantastic and the service from Matt and his team exemplary. The reason we keep returning to this hotel is the staff. As always they couldn't do enough for us and it's the extra touches that make the difference. Be it the welcome message and sweets in the room on arrival, every request (no matter how obscure) being actioned straight away or just the fact that the staff are efficient and friendly and know how to make returning guests feel special. We must mention one fabulous staff member who went above and beyond during our break. Dan on the front desk was outstanding! He was polite, friendly , efficient with a (and I quote) " I can make that happen" attitude. Once again we enjoyed it so much we have already booked our next 2 day stay in February. Can't wait to come back. Highly recommend, thank you. Sean & Charlie Barber
