Holiday Inn Express Bothell

This hotel was excellent value! Free parking and breakfast and we were surprised at how nice the location was too. There is a QFC and Chick Fil A next to it and easy to walk to both. We went to lovely restaurants just a short drive away. We drove into Seattle in 30 mins as well as to Seatac airport in just over 30 mins. Nearby is Woodinville with lots of wineries. We liked nearby towns of Kirkland and Edmonds too. The breakfast was presented as safely as possible for Covid, masks and sanitizer was provided and encouraged. We chose to do the grab and go option available where we were allowed to take the food and drinks back to our room to consume. The hotel was well presented and our room, a suite had a microwave, fridge and sofa which were useful. The staff were friendly and very helpful. It is in a nice quiet area, not by a busy road as most are. I would recommend this hotel. There is an indoor pool too.

I rarely write a bad review, but for the money it just isn't the best. First the front desk staff was not the friendliest. She wasn't rude, just not friendly or helpful. The hotel was clean, but seemed to have an issue with the plumbing. Our toilet got backed up and when I called the front desk they told me I'd have to plunge it myself and come to the front desk to get the plunger. When asked why they didn't send maintenance they said the owner did the maintenance and wouldn't be in until Tuesday (this was Saturday night). And they wouldn't even bring the plunger to the room. The clerk was not very apologetic. She sounded more like this was routine. When I was headed down to the front desk I noticed a closet in the hallway that had 2 plunges and 2 buckets in it. I was on the 3rd floor. It seems that this must be a common problem for this hotel. What got me was not only did I have to fix the toilet myself and they wouldn't bring the plunger to the room, it was the front desk person seemly lack of concern. For the $250 a night we were paying, I'd have expected better service.

The room and accommodations were very nice. My trip was disappointing in one respect however, I was double-charged for the booking. My plans changed and my reservation change was not ”taken” by the reservation system. Thus I was charged for a ”no-show” (2 days) and arrived in the middle of the night only to find that I had to whip out my credit card. A call to corporate failed to resolve the issue and I'm out $429. I asked if they could reimburse me for at least one day, but they would not.
Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Seattle-Bothell, WA

A nice peaceful location. The beds are very comfortable and it was super clean. Nice strong shower. Dinner in the bat was ”ok”. Pasta a bit greasy and the garlic toast could use a different kind of bread. Isn't the cheapest variety it's not good. I realize that breakfast changes periodically but I was bummed not to see more options as far as cold items like yogurt and cut up fruit beyond the whole apple or orange. The young man running the bar was very helpful and outgoing.

I chose to stay at Holiday Inn and Suites Bothell for a business trip due to convenience. That's the last time I do that. The hotel is newer, but that's all I can say for it. After checking in, I went upstairs to my room and while settling in, I heard this loud, rumbling noise that sounded like a freight train going through my room. When I called downstairs to ask what the noise was, the front desk clerk told me it's because one of the washing machines has a bearing loose. So it has a bearing loose, shakes my entire room and you don't bother to tell me about it when I check in thinking I won't notice it? When I ask if this will be going on all night, she says, that they usually stop the wash about 7-7:30. Since I had to leave, I wasn't in the mood to have to negotiate a room change so I left and came back later. I slept fine enough - the bed was comfortable. The bathroom has a weird configuration - there is a good amount of space, they just didn't make the best of use of it with the showing and toilet being squeezed on one side and the sink on the other. I also saw bugs in the bathroom which was not pleasant. I think the final straw was calling down to see if there was coffee in the lobby and being informed by the front desk clerk you have to buy the $18 breakfast to get coffee or use the coffee in your room. My colleague walked to a nearby coffee stand, I opted for the Chevron down the street. I don't know why the Manager thinks it is acceptable to put people in a room that sounds like a freight train is running through it or setting up a coffee stand where you can get a coffee for a few bucks, but everything stems from management down - so Holiday Inn and Suites - you can do better and you lost this customer.
