Pennyweight Hotel Boston, Curio Collection by Hilton

Compact posh room, very nicely designed. Elegant bathroom. Comfortable bed. Huge screen modern TV. Tiny table (hard to do laptop work on it for too long). In the room (902), the Internet was slow (＜10Mbps). The conference room was small and under renovation, so I couldn't access it. The front desk held some package for me, but security was lax - one package was left on the counter and anyone could've taken it. The area is Boston downtown - not much to do, or places to eat.

The hotel is situated nicely....would of been nice to have the cost of parking which is almost as much as a nights stay listed somewhere. The woman who checked us in wasn't the friendliest..but all of the young men were helpful and courteous.

We paid $19 per person in advance for breakfast, yet the hotel did not serve breakfast. Mattresses were worn out. There was no coffeemaker in the room or telephone. It took 15 minutes to get hot water!for a shower. This was a two star hotel rather than a four star as advertised.

Hotel Lobby is under construction (which is no problem) but the personnel was rude, they didn't have a uniform related to Hilton, surrounding area not good. Air conditioning was having problem and the 12 floor was flooded.

The only problem is the parking. You have to park on the street ( if there’s a parking spot ) contrary to what is written in the website. Besides there’s valet parking charge of $65 if you don’t want to look some other place to park. They should put on the website “parking on the street “ and that there’s an optional valet parking charge too.

The room itself was nice but had no phone to call the front desk. Also, the lobby/restaurant was under construction which we were not aware of ahead of time. I feel that we should be made aware of construction. I made my selection based on amenities.
