Stayed for two nights in July 2025. Easily the worst Premier Inn we have stayed at. The only complimentary thing I can point to is the staff who remain upbeat and positive, despite the poor quality facilities they have to manage. The lack of air con means that temperatures of 20 -25 are manageable with the fans provided in the room. As we were leaving, noted a fire exit door propped open with a fire extinguisher, presumably in an effort to get some air through the building. Issue with the shower not working on first night led to us having to move to an adjoining room. Discussed with staff that the bathroom itself was in a poor state, and any markings to show hot/cold or on/off had been worn away. Informed that this is common, and staff have reported numerous things in the building which need replacing or upgrading. In general the building is in a poor state of repair - plants growing in guttering, huge stains on the communal carpet serving ground floor rooms. In general, the feeling that we left with is that the facilities for guests and maintenance of the Hotel are unimportant. We have previously been happy to stay at a Premier Inn as you have the basics of the things that you need to act as a base to explore the local area. Not in this case.

Can’t beat a Prem! Not stayed here before. Had a 5 night stay for work. Room as you’d expect, staff were all friendly. Brewers Fayre right next door (not connected) which looks tired from outside but I found all staff in there to be chatty and helpful.

We had contacted the hotel before our stay and on arrival they had allocated us a ground floor room. All of the staff were super friendly and professional. Our room was clean and spacious and the bed super comfy. Unfortunately the window couldn’t be opened fully but the staff explained it’s for health and safety reasons. It was a little hot in the room but a fan was provided which was a lovely touch.

Having arrived after a six hour drive, we quickly realized I had booked the wrong type of room (double instead of twin) the receptionist sorted the mistake even though they were fully booked, and even booked us a taxi for our meal out, nothing was a problem, we had drinks at the bar when we arrived back from our day out and even though the restaurant was closed, they provided numbers for takeaways incase we got hungry, the whole experience was faultless, the breakfast was excellent and set us up for the day, staff were genuinely warm and welcoming, it's our second time at the hotel and we look forward to returning next year

Don't do it! A very tired example of a Premier Inn. No phone signal, poor Wifi, missing hanging rail. Restaurant looks derelict from the road.

We complained about the heat of the rooms while they say the weather is excluded from the good night sleep guarantee however this in my opinion goes way beyond and the lady I spoke to wasn’t at all sympathetic we did get free breakfast but most of us were to tired to eat it
