It was a special hotel that made you feel like you were traveling overseas to Japan. Great location if you like a quiet trip! I was satisfied with the price because I could see the beach, quietly watch the beautiful sunset, and feel like I was in Japan.
However, the yukata provided in the room was wet and smelled like a rotten rag, and there was water left in the coffee pot from whence it came, making it uncomfortable to use. The dinner and breakfast provided were all prepared in advance, so the rice, fries, and curry were all cold and difficult to eat.

This is a newly built, good lodging facility located on a wide expanse of the west coast mud flats, and is clean and comfortable.
It may be unfair to compare it to Japanese ryokans, but the meal still falls far short of expectations. I don't expect the same level of kaiseki cuisine at Japanese ryokans, but I think if they improved the quality of their meals (especially the meat served at dinner), they would attract more customers.
