I cannot rate my experience high enough to really give it justice. Seatoller house is an absolute gem in a draw dropping location. We were lucky to stay for three evenings. The food was what you would expect from a top restaurant. My son is Vegetarian and this was catered with ease and perfection. The hospitality is second to none. The balance of making you feel like you are at home but also that you're staying somewhere special is perfect. Location wise i don't think you can get any better. You are a short bus ride from Buttermere or Keswick and it is the perfect starting location for stunning loop fell walks with the added bonus of a pub next door for a post walk pint. In summary, excellent place, stunning location, delicious food and outstanding hospitaility. Thank you Seatoller, see you next year!

I can’t fault Seatoller House. It’s a gem of a place which is why we come back year after year. Great hospitality, wonderful home cooked food, super breakfasts, packed lunches for us walkers, and an honesty bar with local beers, gins and a fantastic wine selection. What more do you want!

Been twice, lovely atmosphere, great food,great location. Can't really fault it. All you can eat brekkie, big packed lunch if required and stunning 3 course meal every night. Walked miles but still put weight on. Will be back next year for sure

Seatoller hotel is a fantastically located and comfortable stay for walkers wishing to explore the Fells. The staff led by Nigel and Trish are welcoming and so helpful. The food - breakfast, packed lunch, tea & cake and four course supper - is delicious and plentiful.

We have got to know Seatoller over some years. Nigel and Trish are great hosts, the staff are delightful and nothing is too much trouble. We cannot fault the care and attention with superb food including packed lunches for the Fell walks and plenty of hot water after the exercise! The rooms are comfortable and the fireside reception areas cosy. A perfect place to meet friends, walk in the hills and enjoy the Lake District in all its splendour.

Returning with a group of friends to Seatoller House for our annual pilgrimage, Nigel, Trish and their team were once again exceptional hosts, looking after our every need in really comfortable accommodation and providing the heartiest of breakfasts, teas and delicious dinners (with a variety of excellent wines) every day. Staying at Seatoller House is 'a must' for anyone wishing to enjoy the warmth of a true Cumbrian welcome in the heart of the Lakes, with beautiful walks on the doorstep.

Stayed with a group of friends and enjoyed excellent home cooking and accommodation in a delightful historic location. This was my second visit to the beautiful Borrowdale valley at the foot of the Honister pass. Friendly staff, the rooms are quaint, cosy and clean. Good parking and great starting point to discover this part of the Lakes.

We last stayed at Seatoller House nearly 40 years ago, and were thrilled to find it as good or even better than it was in 1988. Relaxed, comfortable, excellent and plentiful food and good company of other guests. Certainly hope to return again before so long.

This was our 10th visit to Seatoller House. We received the usual very warm welcome from Nigel and Trish and staff, the food was fantastic and the overall atmosphere is uniquely comfortable and relaxing. The house, with its 400 years old history, is very special and wonderfully situated for walking and public transport.
