Thanks to The Hotel Inspector programme we booked for lunch Great welcome from a young guy who worked behind the bar. It was a trifle cold on arrival, but the log burner was quickly lit. Choice of mains and specials. The fish pie was hot, really tasty, with choice of vegetables. The steak and ale pie was delicious, Best pastry tasted for ages. Good portion size, hot and well presented. The pub has several events during the year, fireworks night coming up in November. There is plenty of space in the garden, with covered non smoking area, tables and chairs and outside chess set for younger customers Internally the pub is well decorated and has a nice atmosphere We thought the pub offered great food, good portion sizes and had very welxoming and friendly staff. Will be back

Lovely overnight stay in this quaint pub with dinner b & b Excellent meal & good wine list lovely staff ….. Nice room with comfy bed. Very quiet. Superb freshly cooked breakfast Everything well presented Recommend…. Need to book in advance.

We had a lovely weekend stay at The King’s Arms. Mark made us feel very welcome, and our room was very clean and comfortable. Mark is also the chef, and the food we had was excellent, both in the evenings and at breakfast. The pub was very friendly, there was a good car park and it is also dog friendly. We would highly recommend the King’s Arms and would definitely stay again if we re in the area.

We held our wedding reception at King's Arms and can not thank Mark and Michael enough for an amazing day. The food was exceptional and hosts couldn't do enough for us to make our day special in every way. We visit regularly and food is always delicious and hosts go above and beyond to welcome everyone. Thanks so much for all you do.
