My room washroom encounter the stinky smells on the 1st night, very unfortunate the phone inside the room also out of order too. I’ve to close the door properly before sleep yet still have unpleasant smells in the room. I’ve told the night shift front desk officer about it, however he seems don’t understood and didn’t get the issue settle. Hence, I’ve requested to upgrade on the next day to the day time front desk officer, Herman if the issue can’t be solved. However, it’s fully booked, so I felt upset and helpless. Therefore, I’ve stressed to him I’m unable to give good rating in this case and get him to my room and experience it. He immediately understood the issue and get someone to resolve the issue after I went out for early dinner. Afterwards the issue only comes back in a while and gone. Herman had got the cleaner take note of the issue too over the 6 days 5 nights stay. I would like to give the compliment to Herman for this case. Besides, though the breakfast served only simple food, however I think is good for nutrition and everything are fresh. Especially the juice and fruit sections.

A bit off, a little far away from the town, don't even think about walking to the town, there are farmhouses, and then farmland, but the pool room can see Borobudur, although a bit small. The rooms are about 7-8 villas. They are not big, they should not be regular hotels, and there are not many residents, like private homes. The proprietress is of Chinese descent from a snake, a big dog brought back by Italy, and the service staff are all females, which is quite enthusiastic. Unfortunately, the TV has to be charged separately, similar to domestic Internet TV programs. In short, except for the inconvenient transportation and nothing around, it is not bad. Can help call a taxi to the scenic area, it seems 150K round trip.

The location of this hotel was perfect for me as it was walking distance from the Borobudur temple area. The staff were all friendly and helpful from the moment I arrived (although their English wasn't perfect that wasn't an issue)! And the room was lovely. It felt like my own private little villa. I would happily stay here again if I was going to stay for longer in Bali and use it as a place to relax by the beautiful swimming pool.

I have also lived in several Amans, and I can only say that each Aman has its own advantages. This Aman is built in the tropical rainforest. The building is designed based on Borobudur. The restaurant and lobby are fully open. The architectural format is similar to a temple. The design of the whole villa suite is not comparable to many Aman. This Aman opened in 1997. Compared with the other hotels we have stayed in, the public facilities are slightly insufficient. There is no separate spa, and the spa is located in a guest room. The spa service and experience itself are still very good. Aman’s service is as usual and there are no faults. When checking in, the manager accompanied the whole process, asked about their health, answered various questions of guests, and arranged activities according to the needs of guests. I saw later that the manager had a form that recorded all the guests’ daily activities. The itinerary is very detailed. We chose Borobudur and the back mountain forest for hiking. The back mountain forest hike is very good, you can see the scenery of the whole valley, and know a lot of plants, including cloves, durians, snake skin fruits and so on. Another major feature of this Aman is that the food and beverages are particularly good. There are no good restaurants nearby. We ate at the hotel the whole time. It was the first time I saw a hotel with a full 11-page menu, and all of them can be served in the room. There are many choices. The taste is also quite good. There is also a special dinner every Friday night, which is made in the form of a food market, with traditional singing and dancing performances, which is very lively. There is also a pick-up and drop-off service, which is very convenient.

On the same day, I went to BOROBUDUR for a long journey. I was very tired. When I arrived at the hotel, I found that the hotel was not big. It was all on one floor. There was a lobby with several tables. The right side was a small pool. The room around the pool. The room decoration is very rough, the bed is 1 meter / piece, the toilet is the worst, the setting is not good, it feels bad. But the front desk was very enthusiastic about the introduction, because she spoke English too fast and mixed accent I could not hear clearly. But the overall situation is good. The room is not big, it is basically impossible to have an extra bed.

The sanitation is not good, there are many bugs, and friends will give up staying for two nights and change to other hotels. The picture at the time of booking is seriously inconsistent with the actual environment, and the most failed booking.
