Bdx Hôtel - Gare Saint-Jean Reviews

Close to train station and very convinient to anywhere at Bordeaux. Staff are helpful, he help me to carry luggage to 3rd floor (hotel without lift). FOC 2 bottle water daily. Hotel don't have aircond but with fan and air cooler. Overall is a convenient hotel for traveller but not for luxurious. Next to hotel is restaurant and 2 famous local food (Canelé). La Toque Cuivrée & Canelés Baillardran, I'll prefer La Toque Cuivrée.

Good location but sadly tram lines in front are closed meaning bus and then tram needed to get to airport But I liked this place a lot and would return Lots of restaurants nearby and train station opposite- but no noise.. buses were easy once you get the system Main good thing was the reception staff… they couldn’t have been more helpful When I rang before arriving they were lovely and throughout the stay they were fab Location staff and price weee great value !

Pros - great location next to train station, trams and airport bus Great service from the front desk, helpful and friendly. Cons - the carpet is badly stained in the bedroom and I hated being barefoot in the room. Housekeeping - the beds are “tidied” and not made properly. The toilet needs to be cleaned properly, it was stained. The curtains have come out of their hooks so it’s messy when you walk in. For the price I paid, I was expecting a higher standard as the photos look amazing on the site. I don’t think I would stay there again.

Location is OK - but knew that it would be a little distant from centre (its okay if you like walking - if not the tram stop is close by). Room was dated - smelt of damp. Was SO much smaller than anticipated. Stains on floor and mirror was not cleaned properly. Bed was low but pretty comfortable. NO AIR CON! but an annoying noisy fan was in the room.

Stayed here for one night for a stopover en route to Spain. The hotel is in a very run down area down a derelict side street. You have to ring a bell to get inside and there's only one receptionist working. Our door would not lock so we got given a different room but the bathroom smelled very badly of drains so had to keep the door shut. The hotel has a snack menu and due to arriving late we couldn't get anywhere to eat as all places either bars full of students or run down kebab houses, along with super expensive restaurants where nobody wanted to go. The hotel menu consisted of various hot snacks but we were told only pizza was available. Very pricey and undercooked, very disappointing. Room had one coffee sachet and one tea bag for two people, no water. Breakfast very expensive but varied and tasty. Wouldn't go again it's in a horrible area.

Above and beyond service, an incredible breakfast buffet, and stunning views of the beautiful Gare Saint Jean can all be found at Hotel BDX. This is an incredible value. I will be returning if I have the opportunity. I felt so welcome! There is also a wonderful patio in the rear courtyard.

On s’est arrêté pour prendre un petit déjeuner avant notre train. Accueil très sympathique, souriant. Le petit déjeuner était délicieux, jus frais maison, petite viennoiserie tout cela sur une planche. On recommande si vous voulez prendre un petit déjeuner un matin vers la gare de Saint Jean.

Fait le job, bien placé à proximité du tram et restos, chambres propres et bien aménagées. Attention pour les personnes avec des difficultés pour se déplacer, il n’y a pas d’ascenseur. Enregistrement avant l’heure payant, et chambre pas prête à l’heure.

Le cadre est très agréable. L'hôtel est très bien situé et les tarifs sont raisonnables. La chambre est confortable et bien décorée. Le personnel est professionnel et attentif au moindre de nos besoins. Si je dois revenir à bordeaux c'est ici que je séjournerai.

Super bien situé, bon rapport qualité prix , c'est propre et la nuit était calme (ma fenêtre donnait sur la partie arrière donc pas face gare). Pas de clim c'est dommage car cette nuit là il faisait chaud, la chambre était cependant équipée d'un ventilateur dont je ne me suis pas servi j'ai préféré dormir la fenêtre ouverte. Le petit déjeuner est pas mal franchement, pas de photos dispo car j'étais pas seul au buffet. Le point que je retiendrai le plus et qui a fait pencher l'avis en excellent est l'amabilité du personnel, Team après-midi, nuit et matin vraiment super agréable. Ce genre de détail qui (me) plait !
