Besttime Hotel Boppard

Simple, but clean and friendly. Quietly situated on the banks of the Rhine, take a room with a view or terrace on the Rhine side. Simple breakfast but sufficient choice. Within walking distance (17 min. along the banks of the Rhine) of the center. Excellent price quality!

All value for money. Very friendly and hospitable staff. We had a spacious, clean room with balcony and with a very nice view of the Rhine. Hotel has a favorable location, just outside Boppard and directly on the banks of the Rhine.

On arrival the reception has just opened, namely 14:00, it is busy and chaotic in the narrow hall. Despite our reservation on paper it was not clear to the person who was staying and we had to tell and write down all the names again. Due to the crowd we did not immediately receive our guest cards, this only came 2 days later because the reception is not always available. Because there were more of us we had three rooms with a balcony and a view of the Rhine, the rooms look neat, the rooms are clean and the beds are good. The door of 1 room fell out of the frame immediately upon entering, this was reported immediately to the reception, which took more than half an hour due to the crowd, but the door was quickly repaired. The rooms are very noisy, even during the night hours there is always noise, this could be caused by the ships in the Rhine or the busy road at the hotel or the railway line that is next to the busy road. The breakfast is fine, not really diverse, but just good and sufficient. Dinner is often a disaster, the dining room is small and not all guests can sit down, you don't have a fixed table and because there is no seating for the evening hours, people stay at the table. So if you are later than six o'clock, there is a good chance that there is no table left. We were with a few more people, so the problem is faster. The food is reasonable, but you have to wait in line for mediocre food and the containers are quickly empty and then it takes a while before they are refilled. The vegetables were about the same every day, cauliflower with broccoli or carrots. You can take unlimited water, soft drinks and coffee, but you have to get beer and wine from a machine at your own expense. So there is no bar or a separate place to sit and have a drink, this all has to be done in the dining room. The entire hotel is very sterile white and not really cozy. Parking at the hotel is also a disaster, there is very little parking space and it is advised to park in Boppard itself. We parked in Boppard almost the entire week and then it was about a kilometer walk back to the hotel. But also in Boppard it is sometimes searching for a parking space. Many people we spoke to had the same experience, but most had booked via a special offer and therefore found it fine. We had booked directly with the hotel and paid the full price, this price was really not worth it.

Great hotel, near Boppard, within walking distance. Easily accessible by train too. Unfortunately, the hotel was not very attractive, and we especially found the lack of a nice bar or lounge area a shame. The staff was super-helpful and friendly! Beautiful room with terrace on the Rhine. One downside: the hotel was almost empty and they just started cleaning the room next to us at 7:15 am! That could easily have been done at a later date. If you like a decent hotel, this is the place for you for a few days.

We received a friendly welcome, the rooms are renovated and neat but very basic. Our room had a really beautiful view over the water. The breakfast was very basic, which in itself is not a bad thing, but we were expected to clear our dishes ourselves after breakfast and we both thought that was strange and a shame.
