Linekin Bay Resort impresses with its delicious breakfast, friendly staff, and stunning views. However, it's not within walking distance of town. Guests enjoy comfortable rooms but appreciate the proximity to town.

My siblings and I took our mother to Lineken for her 80th birthday. When we got there it was record highs and the cabin didn't have AC. Jordan the assistant manager was on it and set us up with some window units. Jordan was sooooo accommodating the entire trip. The restaurant manager was very friendly and attentive to our needs. All the service and staff were so nice and accommodating. Andy took us for a nice cruise around the Bay.

It pains me to write this because we've had great experiences in years past, and I've talked this place up to so many people. This property is in a truly wonderful location and is unique in their offerings, which is why we've come back now for several years. However, we had a really disappointing stay last week, bordering on dangerous. We paid A LOT more than we have in previous years between the inflated room price, amenity fee and taxes; and our room - Mahawie Jr. Suite- while beautifully located, was extremely damp and mildewy, to the point where it stunk like mold, our clothes never dried, and the sheets were wet. We pointed out the warped door, mildew smell, and peeling paint to the front desk and the manager and they were not helpful, and did not have anywhere else for our family to go. We tried to make the best of it, but it was uncomfortable and potentially dangerous. We spoke to other guests with a similar accommodation in Mahawie and they had the same experience and were concerned about the mold. They were able to change rooms to the new West lodge, though they were not happy with their new accommodation either, though for different reasons - it was very small and noisy, and they didn't like the location/view as much as Mahawie. Linekin Bay recently renovated several cabins/other accommodations, and put in a "fitness center" (pretty bare bones) and seems to have raised their costs to cover these changes. Between the damp/moldy room and poor service from the staff, it is very poor value. We likely won't return and will definitely stop recommending it to others. What a shame, as it really was a special place that we previously looked forward to returning to. Linekin Bay - If you want to stay in business, you should fix your mold issues and also go back to fair prices. Also recommend hospitality training for your staff.

The resort was fantastic. It was HOT when we were there. Jordan the assistant manager took good care of us with Air conditioning. He was very accommodating to us and other guests. We took a nice boat ride in the Bay and got to see some cool wildlife like seals and Osprey. The restaurant on site was fabulous!! We loved the Lobster BLAT which is HUGE and the mussels were awesome as well. The Dining room manager was sooooo accommodating to our family. I will bring my family back someday to enjoy the resort as well.

Our extended family reunion of 22 spent the third week of July 2024 at this beautiful place that was everything we hoped for and more than we knew to expect. We came from six states — Virginia, Florida, Tennessee, Missouri, Illinois and Oregon — and for most of us it was our first time visiting Maine. Some of us had rooms, some of us had cabins and the accommodations were first rate. We took advantage of many amenities on the resort — sailing, kayaking, pickleball, the game room, even the regatta and Trivia Night — and loved having the full breakfast available each day. It was an easy 10-minute drive to Boothbay Harbor and was nice to have the shuttle available if we needed it. The staff was friendly at every turn. And those hydrangeas! Would love to return someday.

We rented the 6 bedroom five bath home, it was very clean and had the best view of all the rentals. The resort has kayaking, fishing polls for fishing, small sail boats for those who know how to sail. They offer free daily cruises and sailing lessons so be sure to ask. There is no beach to walk along which was disappointing. We walked to the little downtown area which was about 1.5 miles, it was a really enjoyable walk. There is not a whole of things to do, we did a couple boat cruises and some of our clan went on the whale watch. We did shop in all the quant little shops. I would recommend a long weekend or if your into a relaxing time maybe a week, three days would be perfect.

We stayed here for one night in one of the rustic cottages, and make no mistake, they are rustic; comfortable, but tired and well worn. Management makes no bones about this and will tell you as much; and, at 150/night the price was certainly right. In fact, we were offered a complimentary upgrade to the new lodge that we declined because my son wanted bunk beds. The new owners seem to be making lots of improvements and everything here will only get better. Not that it doesn't have a lot going for it now; the heated pool is great and was even good for swimming on the somewhat chilly days we were there, and the boathouse was staffed even in the off season; kayaks are complimentary. We had dinner in the restaurant, good food, but expensive (as hotel restaurants tend to be.) Breakfast was basic chain hotel style buffet; adequate but nothing more. Every staff member we encountered was great, something this hotel should be very proud of. I would like Linekin Bay even more if it wasn't in Boothbay; I found the village to be tacky, touristy, and loaded with bus tour groups even in the off season. No matter, you never even have to leave the property if you don't want to!

Linekin Bay Resort was amazing. Staff were friendly, grounds are beautiful, and the cabins are comfortable. The power went out in our cabin, and the management moved us to an equally nice, if not nicer cabin, and graciously gave us a credit for the situation. We loved being close to the town, but not right in it. Two cool breweries are nearby, one on Monhegan island, and another in Boothbay. We enjoyed sitting by the fire pit and pool getting to know the other guests. We will definitely come back, given the opportunity.

We loved this cabin stay. It had the comfort of a hotel but the feeling of summer camp and our toddler had a blast! We would definitely return. Breakfast buffet was great as well! Our only wish was that breakfast went until 10 or 10:30 so people have the option to get a slow start. We loved this place! The price was also great- wonderful value.
