Capelongue, a Beaumier Hotel & Spa

My partner and I stayed at Capelongue for our honeymoon and had the most perfect time! We were greeted with a lovely bottle of rosé champagne to kick off our romantic stay. First, the space and surroundings are absolutely breathtaking and instantly relaxing. Beyond the stunning natural landscape, the interior designers and architects truly left no stone unturned with this building. We were blown away by every little detail that made the space feel natural yet elevated. Next, the incorporation of local products, produce, and wines made us feel like we lived in the region. More than anything else, though, we felt wholly taken care of by the phenomenally kind, caring, and courteous staff members. Somehow they made sure we had everything we could possibly need without us noticing, making our lives feel joyous and easy every day. We must give a major shoutout to Marco who is an absolutely lovely person. He greeted us with kindness and made us feel like he was as happy to be there as we were. We can also not speak highly enough about Lauren, sommelier. Lauren could not be a more charismatic and lovely person to speak with, and she is trailblazing the wine industry. Her selected wine pairings for our incredible dinner at La Bastide blew us away. Her knowledge and passion for wine is unmatched. We will be back just to reconnect with her next summer! Finally, the location is fantastic if you are looking to do some exploring in the region. We visited Roussillon, Gordes, Bonnieux, Lacoste, and Lourmarin to explore their local markets and restaurants, and easily traveled to Seneca Abby to see the lavender fields. Could not recommend Capelongue more!

Nice stay with our children (young adults). The location is nice. The hotel has been renovated and for the most part this was well done. Our main complaint is about the bathroom, which is not at all at the level of a five star hotel (more like a two star hotel). The mirror is so high in the bathroom that my wife could only see her forehead. When you take a shower you basically wet the whole floor. And there is almost no furniture where to put/store your belongings. The rest of the room was great. It was spacious. The A/C was working well. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast is nice with a view of the village from the terrace. The lap pool area is very nice and quiet. Very nice for a good rest. We did not try the restaurants. We instead went to the two star michelin at Mas les Eydins which was amazing and to l'Orangerie in the Batide de Gordes which offered nice views with so-so food. The staff at the hotel is young but great. If the bathroom had been up to the level we would have given five stars.

It goes without saying there's amazing views, and top class service, and a sense of being in the French countryside even though you're actually in a posh international hotel. The staff all work really hard. We will try to come again if we can (and we don't feel that about most hotels we stay in!) I really valued having a long pool where you can do a lot of (very long!) lengths without having to keep out of the way of kids having fun (there's another wiggly pool where families can have their fun). The best bit for me was the wine-tasting (you have to book early) and (not me!) two of us splashed out on the Michelin Star restaurant one night and had a great - memorable - meal. The local village has loads of restaurants - all full of unique character. It's in a wine-making area - stuffed full of everything that makes French travel great. There's a few tiny, small ******* inevitable in the first year of new (really wonderful) rooms e.g. the mirror in the bathroom is designed for giants, not for average-height couples (I think they're on to this); green tea in the bed-rooms isn't replaced automatically; there's amazing local hikes around the hotel but Reception seemed to have no recommendations without first getting in your car. The dining experience was also exceptional. The restaurant featured a seasonal menu that showcased the freshest and most delicious local produce. The dishes were beautifully presented and bursting with flavor, making each meal a culinary delight. Overall, we had an unforgettable 5-star experience. The luxurious accommodations, attentive service, and delectable cuisine combined seamlessly to create a truly memorable stay. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a luxurious and relaxing retreat. We look forward to returning in the future.

Stayed here with my wife for a few short days. This place is magical! The dinner we had was just over the top. I had a vegetarian tasting menu and my lovely wife had a standard tasting menu paired with wine. What an extraordinary experience. The grounds, the pool, the staff are in a class by themselves. If you want a real Provence Experience this is the place to go. Did not want to leave Warren C / NYC - USA

Beautiful resort and excellent service. We had the best time!

We stayed four nights as when we were here in June 2019 we wished we could stay longer. The hotel is an absolutely beautiful setting overlooking Bonnieux with lovely manicured gardens of lavender and various shrubs and trees. The pool is lovely and a great way to enjoy a few hours each day. We were disappointed in the changes made by the new owners - eg. the breakfast dining area used to be decorated in Provençal furniture and had an amazing buffet that was beautiful to look at, let alone eat. The breakfast is fully served and is fantastic but the furniture not as quaint. It was disappointing that they were unable to have their Bastide restaurant open due to staff shortages as we had so enjoyed it on our last visit. The cafe is beautiful in the evening especially but a limited menu. They have only been reopened for a few weeks and we could actually see their staff becoming more confident over our four days. Our pool server from Burundi made our afternoons even more lovely. It was an overall lovely experience. Walking in to Bonnieux for dinner is only a short distance and pretty to watch the sunset from town over the Luberon and we were lucky enough to return to a full moon over the beautifully lit hotel .

Beautiful, romantic and a pure delight Enjoying every luxury this peaceful place has to offer. Our bike trip brought us here. Through lavender fields and olive groves. Pool is beautiful and clean.
