First of all I want to highlight the two fantastic parts of our stay. The hotel receptionist (did not capture her name sorry), was super friendly could not do enough to help us and keep us informed and spoke impeccable English. She made this a 3 star review rather than 2 star. Secondly the breakfast was really nice, the outside terrace is a great place to sit down, the coffee and English breakfast tea was high quality as was the bread and home made jam’s. As for the rest I am afraid it was a bit of a disappointment, the location is very residential with not much around, the building is old and has no lifts with the stairs difficult to use for my wife who uses a crutch to walk. The free parking is basically on street parking where you find a space and whilst we had a fan in our room it was still too hot. The room itself was small, the bed uncomfortable and with no enjoyable features. Great staff but the rest was a disappointment for me.

Room was fine, and beers in minibar were a nice touch. Breakfast was a disappointment - having raved about German breakfasts, the bread didn't taste fresh, and the options were limited. I hope this was a one off.

Unique and very beautiful boutique hotel. The athmosphere in the hotel is amazing. The buildings are old but renovated with respecting love. The location is good and the area is absolutely beautiful. I recommend to walk near by and admire the beautiful buildings. The service is friendly and the breakfast is perfect: high quality products, beautiful set up and peaceful athmosphere.

The staff were very welcoming and helpful. We speak English only and we felt extremely comfortable there. The rooms were very clean, quaint and had all the necessities for a great stay. The breakfast had much to offer from freshly baked breads, cereals, eggs, meat, cheese, fruit and veggies. Hot, fresh coffee and tea upon request. The hotel is also very close to a large park and the Rhine River. So, if you like to bike, jog, walk or just stroll it’s only a couple hundred meters away.

Nice location, short walk to the Rhine. It's a nice old seemingly recently renovated Super friendly reception, rooms were clean. Reasonable water pressure in the shower. Hadn't breakfast, so I can't say anything about it. Parking is mostly street side but for free. When I stay again in the area I will definitely choose the hotel again.

We got the top floor suite. The room was large and clean, but only accessible by stairs. The drinks in the minibar were fortunately free of charge. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast in the garden of the villa was good. The location is ideal, near the Rhine. We were able to store our e-bikes in the lockable garage. All in all a very nice stay at the boutique hotel Dreesen!

Promising at first glance until you get into the room. The historical character and furnishings are not continued in the rooms. At least not in room 103. There you can see the facade of the neighboring building through unattractive, unwashed windows. The decor is a failed attempt between classic and formerly modern. The dim bedside lamps make reading in bed difficult. The bathroom is tiny with a miniature sized sink and the faucet is too short. No towel rail. The shower has moldy corners. The dusty hair dryer is the cheapest model that could be found. No power and after 15 seconds it will turn off automatically then cool down for five minutes. The small TV didn't work at all. It is understandable that an old building cannot be renovated quietly. But apparently nothing was invested here. So you can hear all the noises and I had a correspondingly restless night. The breakfast room is beautifully designed, but the breakfast itself, unspectacular. Here, too, people seem to like to save on quality. If I had paid 60 euros for the night I would not have bothered to write a review. But at EUR 130 for an overnight stay, this is completely overpriced and annoying.
