A small, friendly hotel on the busy quayside. The only snag is parking. You find somewhere to stop on arrival ( there’s a ‘parking minute’ a short way along from the hotel) and then obtain a card from the hotel while paying a caution of 80 euros. This lets you in to a public car park a short walk away. We cheated a little by just stopping at the hotel and unloading, but it’s too easy to hold up the quayside traffic unless one arrives late in the afternoon when delivery drivers have finished their work. Once in the hotel, the rest is fine. Our small but well equipped room on the fourth floor had a tiny balcony with excellent views of the port. The bed was comfortable, the shower room spotless, the lift was handy. Downstairs the hotel has a café open till quite late, serving breakfast for residents, ranging from about 6 euros for a hot and cold drink plus a croissant or generous slice of baguette with butter and jams, to 15 euros for a full breakfast. If back in Bonifacio, we would choose to stay here again even though we know about the parking system.
