The Editory Artist Baixa Porto Hotel

I had a great experience at this hotel. It was beautifully decorated with artistic elements and colorful schemes. The name of the hotel is largely displayed but you do have to be directly in front of the building to identify it. The hotel staff were friendly and pleasant. I received a complimentary drink on entry which was a pleasant treat for my birthday. I felt completely welcomed. They answered any of my questions and made accommodations, such as giving me a universal charger when I needed one. My room was a great size for one person but it would still be comfortable with 2 people. The room was cleaned every day and I even received a sweet treat :). I didn’t really like the shower design because I did I have to step over into the tub through a small opening (I could easily slip). However, that was a minor issue which could have probably been accommodated if I requested it. The food was decent. I did appreciate the buffet style, with a variation of food items. The hotel is located perfectly to nearby restaurants, stores, and attractions. I had the opportunity to save money by walking to most places. If I needed an Uber (highly recommend using as a transportation), I didn’t have to wait too long. Overall, I would recommend this hotel.

This hotel values style over substance. I paid a lot of money for a room with mold in the shower and filthy carpet. I asked staff to address this and instead they entered our room when we were gone and gave us two tiny brownies and made no attempt to clean. Dangerously slippy tiles in bathroom, and when you turn shower on the water blasts onto the floor. no maid service after being gone all day. Trendy cheap hardware on fixtures was difficult to control water pressure and temperature on all faucets. One bar tender covering two active bars in two different buildings. Air freshener in halls and lobby so strong (what are they trying to cover up?) that you get a headache and my clothes still smell like it. Beds uncomfortable and no blankets just layers of sheets. Not sure why on most websites this is classified as 5 star when there aren’t amenities and the service seems to be by free labor from young students. Pros: friendly staff but they don’t listen to requests. Great location. Safe.

The Hotel was first class, the service excellent and it is reasonably located for the attractions in Porto. They also upgraded our room, which was greatly appreciated. We were there on a Bed & Breakfast basis and the Breakfast was good. I highly recommend the Hotel.

Fantastic hotel, good location. About a 10 min walk to the main touristy area. We like to stay outside of the busy areas because they can be noisy and this hotel was located in a very quiet area. We had a beautiful room overlooking the garden. The rooms are huge with lots of space for everything. Bathrooms are also very large. Beds are comfortable and the TV has lots of options. Good wifi. Staff is very pleasant and accommodating. It was nice to always be greeted kindly and asked if there was anything we needed. The lobby also has sparkling water and port wine for guests. The coffee in the room is very nice and other little amenities are replenished daily, which is a nice touch. Loved staying here, highly recommend!

Our stay was absolutely perfect! The hotel was impeccably clean, and the staff were incredibly kind, offering great suggestions for visits in the area. The breakfast was delicious and had a variety of options. A special touch that made our experience unforgettable was the surprise birthday cake with a candle they prepared for my boyfriend's birthday. Highly recommend this place!

A very lovely hotel on the edge of Porto. Amazing lunch, such great staff. The room was large comfy and perfect. The whole experience was a joy - and it was such great value. Thank you all. I would recommend to anyone - and the walk up the hill was good to burn off the lovely food
