"The location is about 7 to 10 minutes away from the train station, but it is easy to find. It is also a walking distance to most attractions, so it is very convenient to travel. The hotel environment is elegant and quiet,  room equipment is slightly simple, but clean.  Service  Staff attitude is simple and direct , it is still polite  and willing to help people ; breakfast is very rich and tastes very good. In terms of price, I personally think it is acceptable."

"Good location. Paid (50€) extra to be in the main hotel and not their apartment somewhere nextdoor, not sure if it was worth it. It had a bit of a new spa feeling. All very new, think they are going for a boutique hotel style, but not classy. Nice terrace though."

"Nice hotel, it is a bit far from the city center, the surrounding area is very quiet, the deluxe room is booked, on the top floor, there are skylights, the view is relatively wide, the room facilities are relatively complete, and the sanitation is also good. "I Visited Bologna solo for a long weekend (Friday to Sunday) check in desk is 24 hours which is helpful since I arrived later. The room was small but clean and well equipped the hotel is extremely well located, 30 seconds walk from the main square with plenty of restaurants and bars around. amazing breakfast included in the hotel. I would definitely recommend, and revisit next time I’m in Bologna"

"This is a wonderful small family owned hotel in a great location in Bologna. We had many family members staying there on our way to a wedding and it was PERFECT! The staff (especially Marco) was great - friendly, helpful & spoke good English. The rooms are all different and extremely well appointed. The rate was good and the included breakfast was amazing. I would highly recommend this hotel to any traveler."

EErica CohnTwo stars because it is a nice hotel with comfortable beds. Thats about it. It is certainly not a five star hotel, which it purports to be. We arrived around 8pm and advised reception that we needed to leave for the airport at five am. At some point reception advises that the booking was for one person and they had to charge us for the second. I have never heard of this! So for the extra person for our 8 hour stay, they wanted €100! What the hell for? I looked on a booking sight and showed the receptionist that I could still book a room (which would come with a free bottle of wine) for two people for exactly what I paid. Receptionist kept saying that it would be more if i booked through the hotel. Lets follow the logic here. Why would i book directly through the hotel if the same room is less on a booking sight? The most irritating part is that she kept laughing inappropriately for some unknown reason. The male receptionist kept insisting that the € 100 was for the ”free” hot breakfast. We reminded him that we had to leave before breakfast was served. He assured us that there would be a cart full of food in the morning before we left. Long story short, that did not happen. There was a cart with coffee and a few pastries. But wait, there's more! The man at the reception in the morning told us that if we had asked, they would have made us breakfast. That would have been nice if it was ever suggested by reception at check in! A real five star hotel would have just taken the initiative to prepare the bagged breakfast for us given the conversation had the night before. I also enjoyed how the staff talked down to us insisting that a €100 per person euro fee is totally normal. Because I've never stayed in a hotel before! Thats sarcasm btw. Again, this certainly was not a five star experience. And just to compare apples to apples, we stayed at a four star hotel when we arrived in bologna 10 days earlier. It was 1/5 the cost, the staff much more accommodating and was just as comfortable and nice. So do yourself a favor and ignore the alleged five star rating and save your money and nerves by staying anywhere else.

SSiraI recently stayed at the Hotel NH Bologna de la Gare in Bologna for four nights. Here’s a detailed account of my experience:
Location:
The hotel is conveniently located near the main Bologna train station. This made it very handy for our day trips to Venice and Florence. The location is one of the best aspects of the hotel.
Room:
I booked a standard room. While it wasn’t particularly spacious, it was clean, modern, and comfortable. The cleanliness and modernity of the room were quite impressive, especially compared to some older European hotels.
Amenities:
The hotel has a notable rooftop bar that serves aperitif. It’s a nice place to unwind and enjoy a drink with a view.
Service:
The check-in and check-out processes were smooth. I arrived a bit before noon, and they let me check in early. On the day of departure, our flight was in the evening, and we were able to check out late for a fee of 10 EUR per hour after 12. The staff were quite friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
Dining:
I paid for the breakfast, which was serviceable. It was adequate but nothing extraordinary.
Overall Experience:
The best part of my stay was the location. It made it very easy to explore nearby cities via train. The modern and clean room was also a big plus. I can’t think of any areas for improvement; overall, I’m quite happy with my stay.
Recommendation:
Yes, I would recommend this hotel to others, mainly for its excellent location and modern rooms. Unlike some older apartments in Europe, the rooms here are updated and comfortable.

GGuest UserLocation is very near to the bologna centrale station ~ 5 mins away. Good especially if you’re lugging a lot of luggages but quite a walk away from the main piazza shopping area ~ took us around 15-20 mins.
Room provides 3in1 cappucino and milk creamer! Not all hotels provide these. There are English Tv channels. There is pillow menu even! Room is clean, kettle is cleaned sparkly too.
Toilet light went faulty during our stay; flickering. We called reception to inform and she was supposed to call us back to let us know if their technician was still around at work to come and fix it or not but she may have forgotten to return us back the call. Checking out the next day so we didn’t bother but for guests staying longer you may have to call back reception to check….

Nnrgpup7The hostel was very clean and comfortable, with friendly staff. It was quiet enough in the room for a daytime nap after a long trip, slept well at night. The place has personality and generous seating for guests (don't forget the 1st floor lounge!), location is very good - groceries, multiple bars and bus station are reached within minutes. This particular location had only recently opened when I stayed, so you could tell the crew was working out some kinks in the system, but nothing serious enough to complain about. Only things worth mentioning are the solitary washing machine (practice your rock-paper-scissors!), and super narrow shower (fairly normal in EU, but beware nonetheless). There is a wonderful, full service laundromat near the piazza, however, and a couple other locations within 5 min walking distance. Did not get to chance to try the food and drink at the bar but everything looked good. Would book again if I needed to stay near central Bologna again!

AAnonymous UserOur room was not cleaned very well. On one of the towes there was lipstick from a previous guest. Many of the elements and details in the room were off or broken, which is not to be expected from a 4 star hotel. The windows had no nets to stop the flies. The person at the front desk asked me for a credit card for a deposit for the mini bar in the room. Although I told him I do not intend to use the mini bar, he insisted to provide a card in order to be able to check in and as I did not want to leave my card with anyone, he wrote down my card details. The room temperature can’t be controled and it was so hot, that at one point I woke up middle of the night and thought I had died and went in hell. There is nothing near the hotel so the only water you can buy is from the mini bar and it was extemely overpriced. The breakfast was pretty much the only thing on point as the waiters were very nice and polite! All in all, for the price which was the cheapest the hotel is an acceptable option in case you value your money and can close your eyes for a few things.

GGuest UserThe location although 7 km from the city center that seems near it is not! You have to walk 15-20 min to the nearest bus station and then there are only 2 buses running every hour to reach city center. If you miss the first one then you have to wait another 25 minutes for the second one!
If you are planning your trip on foot avoid this one. If you rent a car there is a parking lot outside in the courtyard of the hotel and several more just outside the hotel on the street. Both parking spots are in the open. Hotel offers a closed parking spot in its basement but on pay.
We had to change room the next day of our arrival as there was a noise coming out of the ventilation system. A supervisor came to inspect the room and after verifying our sayings offered us a room 2 floor down.
During our stay one of the three lift was out of order and it was a nightmare to come down in the morning during peak hours. All three days we were getting to lobby by stairs.

YYiyangyangyangI have to say I had a great time staying there, with very helpful staff like Doina, Sara. Place is reachable by public transportation with very good supermarkets Esselunga, Lidl around. And there is plenty of parking spaces. Breakfast is with many choices and staff are friendly. I had an event on Sunday there, all staff were so helpful.

GGuest UserThe hostel is about 15 minutes walk from Bologna station, and there’sa grocery store about 10 minutes and great cafes that are better than many in the city center.
The hostel is very clean with lockers in the rooms and shower/bathroom. You must rent a towel for €3 if you do not have your own. The painting and design is aesthetic. The service is great too: the clerk who checked me in carried my bag for me.
The dining area is spacious and can be used for work but the other public areas are less conducive to that. The hostel is a great value if staying in Bologna.
