Grand Hotel Majestic Gia' Baglioni

Bologna City Center Bologna|0.33km from Drogheria Dalla Pioggia
The hotel is located on the main road of Bologna, across the road from the Cathedral. On the day of the check-in, a grand religious celebration is held, as it is close to the road and you can walk through the road to feel. The room is large, especially the bathroom, and it is no exaggeration to say that you can dance inside. There is an emergency alarm rope near the toilet and the shower. I have pulled two times in the unknown. I have to call the security immediately and need no assistance. It is quite professional and safe. The bathroom accessories are famous Italian brands, the quality is very good, they are brought back to China after they have not been used up, especially like it. The breakfast room was slightly crowded and the dishes were average, but there were even porridge dishes. Later, I learned that there were Japanese monks and local religious groups to hold a friendly relationship and cooperation ceremony during the stay. It was very interesting to walk from the hotel. The restaurant waiter also asked us about Chinese tastes and Chinese cuisine. Although the English communication between the two sides could not convey the essence of Chinese food, they communicated clearly with the help of the body language and imagination. The breakfast was really good. A cultural exchange platform, the restaurant waiter is also very friendly. In general, although it is not the best hotel in Italy, it is also a great place to experience.

Nice modern hotel, in the middle of the old town half a block off of Via dell'Indipendenza..so you are close to everything. As it’s a modern hotel, it has all the appointments with a good size desk, plenty of outlets, comfortable bed, large bathroom etc. Yes the plastic furniture is a bit much, and some is not really functional, but its still a great room, location, and service. Our room was very large with a balcony. Bed was comfortable, service was superb, and wifi was fine. I had a big birthday while I was there and my sons called the hotel from the US to arrange for a birthday cake and note to be delivered to our room. We got back to our room before dinner and there was this lovely decorated cake, display, note, big candle etc. The hotel did a great job and clearly went out of their way to make this happen. BRAVO! There was no parking at the hotel, but there is a garage just around the block that they have an arrangement with. Just reserve ahead with the hotel. The photos on the hotel website are indicative of the rooms and hotel A couple suggestions to those staying at the hotel: 1. dropping off your luggage - - the street the hotel is on is a very narrow street blocked at one end where you would walk on to Via dell'Indipendenza. In driving to the hotel to drop our bags off google maps had me turning right on to their street, Via dell’ Orso, from Viccola Quartirolo…do not do that. you are not supposed to drive there, plus its a one way (left only) and its very hard to make the right turn anyway given the narrow street and restaurant on the corner. The restaurant people told us to back up back on to Viccola Quartirolo…. Then make a left and then back up down the street to the hotel. When it was time to leave, we rolled our bags down to where the restaurant was and then I went and got the car and stopped right there when I made the left turn . 2. room darkening - the first night at the hotel I did not see any shades to stop the light coming in from the balcony. The next morning I realized there were shutter doors to close on the balacony …which I did not notice at night. Overall, between the location, service, and accommodations, I would highly recommend staying at the hotel.

We really liked this hotel despite having got off to a poor start. The little lobby is nice with the cute staircase, despite the initial shabby street entrance. When we returned to room later at night, as we just put our stuff in the afternoon and left to explore the town we found just one chair and no suitcase holder. Having just come from Florence where there were two of everything I called reception. No answer. Ultimately I went down and asked the man at the front desk for the missing stuff. He banged on about the room being basic and that a double room is only space for 2 on the bed, one chair, no suitcase holder for any one as is the case anywhere else (according to him)!!!! The second time I came to ask for a chair as he would not respond to the phone, and again I had to call out for service. I heard him grumble and groan at being called. Again a banging on about the basic room. It's purported to be a four star so I was flummoxed but did not back down. I have some travel experience in my life. I got the stuff despite that unnecessary feeble exchange which I did not get the point of as from his attitude I had expected a real fight and was ready to leave the hotel. Thereafter I am happy to say it was smooth sailing and no further hitches. We were so happy to discover later that the others at the front desk were wonderful, as was the receptionist who checked us in before the unfortunate encounter. The breakfast room is lovely and airy. A few plants and flowers would make it perfect. Breakfast was pretty good and the service was absolutely smashing. The location is superb. Wonderful restaurants at hand, walking distance to the centre and everywhere good really. I guess they could do something to improve the street entrance (before one reached the sliding doors) as it looks pretty slummy and gives the wrong impression. Overall, great hotel, highly recommended. I do not let little incidents cloud my view.

Lovely, comfortable, modern room. Great Wi-Fi, good choice of items at breakfast. Staff were very accommodating at keeping our bags as were were too early to check in. Well situated for the centre and the train station. Very pleasant stay.

The location of the hotel is very good. It is within walking distance from Plaza Maggiore and the twin towers. The room is clean and tidy and the space is suitable. Although it is on the side of the street, the windows are very soundproof. The car should be parked in the parking lot next to the VIII parking lot. The elevator comes up to McDonald's, and the hotel is further ahead. The hotel registers the license plate when checking in, and the hotel will help process ZTL records when checking out. Because Italy generally charges for children over 2 years old, they always book a triple room with a double bed and a single bed.

Warm service, tea at night, a teapot, and a teacup. Carefully print the ticket. Convenient transportation, 10 minutes walk from the train station. Surrounded by lively, there are supermarkets a few hundred meters away. There are many varieties of breakfast, not bad.

I stayed here in summer time, amazing spot in a central location. Comfortable beds, yes it's an older hotel, but it's also an older city. Really friendly staff and good breakfast w a peak at the canal. Supermarket walking distance, train station, and of course all the other things you are coming here for.
