Tambuti Lodge

Wonderful stay during christmas days with family. 5 stars all the way round. Second visit at Tambuti. Lodge (Quality, Firniture, Host), Food (Kitchen and Staff), Game Drives (Martin) just great. Love the little things. Christmas hut ' s, lights to welcome guests after drives, warm or cold facecloth to wash hands and face after game drives, fire place, Attention to detail at diffrent places in the rooms and property. 100% reccomandation.Sure will be back asap. We had a lovely stay at Tambuti Lodge. The staff was warm, inviting and helpful. The food was amongst the best and freshest we have had. Kudos to Edith the chef. We saw all "Big 5" in one day which was amazing. It was also a great value considering alcohol and laundry service was included. Overall we had a great time at Tambuti Lodge.

Our experience at Tambuti has been perfect. Unfortunately we only had time to stay for 2 nights, I would recommend staying at least 3 nights. The lodge and rooms are set up and maintained to the highest standard. The food was perfect as we’ll, chef Edith spoiled us with all lovely food imaginable. We also had a memorable private dinner under the starry sky on our terrace. Check-in and welcome to the lodge was very personal and clear. It was very much appreciated and thoughtful that the evening game drive (16:30) waited for us to arrive, so we would not miss out. Game drives (morning and afternoon) were perfectly organized and our guide was great (thank you Sean). Ofcourse there is no guarantee on what animals you will spot, but all efforts are taken to provide the best experience when in black rhino or pilanesberg. Unfortunately we missed the illusive leopards, so we’ll have to come back for that.

Absolutely amazing experience. The lodge, the staff, our room, the drinks, meals, snacks and of course the game drives all exceeded our expectation. With only 5 couples and 2 staff the attention to detail was second to none. The ability to chat in the lounge over drinks before dinner with the drive guide and manager gave us so much insight to the area. A highlight for us was a private dinner on our deck on our last evening, unexpected, private with attention to what we drank and a fabulous meal. We will return.

We went to Tambuti Lodge as a part of our bit 30th Wedding Anniversary celebration trip and we are so glad we did. The lodge and its staff are top quality - their service is exceptional. We couldn't be happier with the experience. The staff made us feel so welcome and went out of their way to ensure we had the best experience. They accommodated us when we arrived early and even prepared a very special in-room dinner for our anniversary celebration (thank you Chef Edith and team for making our last nigh so special). The food is outstanding and the room was so comfortable. Our guides were extremely knowledgeable and patient. We were able to see four of the big five (leopards are so difficult to find) and learned so much about the area. So many wonderful experiences out in our small group safari. Much of the time we were either the first on scene to see some of the most amazing things or we were the only ones in the area to do some very intimate viewing of the animals. If you are planning a safari visit to Pilanesberg, South Africa you cannot do better than Tambuti Lodge. They exceeded all of our expectations.

The entire stay was five star. The rooms are enormous and plush. Private yard with lounge chairs, back deck with sitting area. Huge bathroom with extra long soaking tub and oils and crystals and candles. Indoor/outdoor shower. Kitchenette. Desk area. Fabulous. All meals and beverages included. 7 hrs a day game drives. 4 in early morning and 3 in evening. Our guide had 26 yrs experience and we saw all the animals multiple times up close and personal. Leopard, Cheetah, lion, rhino, hippo, elephants, zebra, giraffe, Wildebeast, wart hog, antelope, and so much more. Comfortable elevated jeeps 9 passenger, usually there were 6 of us. Guide had binoculars. Food prepared by ached who was magnificent. Open bar 24/7 Pool, fire pit area with fire each evening. All my dreams of Africa were realized. It could not have been better. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable and extremely accommodating. Recommend this to all. Put this on your bucket list. I have traveled extensively for thirty plus years to 65 plus countries and this is a trip I will always cherish. Thank you Malcom and staff for everything.
