Bed & Breakfast, Gîte la Princesse des Champs

We loved our four night stay at La Princesse des Champs. It exceed all expectations. Location is ideal and picturesque. Located right near the Montmorency Falls ( Chute Montmorency in French) and less than 30 min drive to Quebec city. About 5 min drive to the island across the bridge. We had no difficulty driving to Quebec city every night for dinner. Our room was super clean with a nice comfortable bed. The bathroom and the shower are sparkling clean. Common area included a big kitchen with walk out deck that opens to the beautiful view of the river. We really enjoyed having the tea on the deck. Breakfast deserves a special mention. Alex and Elena cater to every guest's needs. Eggs and omelettes are made fresh for every guest. Jams, waffles, cereal, donuts, hash browns, cheese and cold cuts are all delicious. Coffee and tea are available all day in the kitchen for guest to enjoy. Alex and Elena provided the tips and suggestions on surrounding area attractions. We enjoyed driving around Île d'Orléans island. Did wine tastings/apple picking and picked up some locally made jams. Canyon Sainte-Anne is only 30 min drive and definitely worth a visit as well. We stopped by see Basilica of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré on the way back from the Canyon. We thank Alex and Elena for their hospitality and a perfect stay.

This place is special. The beauty of each room plus the amazing view of the river is exceeded only by the hospitality of Alex and Elena. The whole ambiance was outstanding and I can’t imagine a better place to stay if you are visiting Quebec City. It is an incredible place to go to the island as well as the canyon and Saint Anne’s and is about 10 to 15 minutes from parking in Quebec city. The quiet area is truly peaceful and watching the sunrise over the St. Lawrence or looking at the stars at night makes the entire experience truly magical.
