I had a large room on the top floor with a big walk-in shower and comfortable bed and nice desk for working at. Great variety at breakfast time from croissants and bread to fruit with very nice coffee either from the pot or a machine. Actually the machine was one of the better ones! Super friendly staff and the airport pickup I ordered was super easy and good value. Gym on the terrace floor is small but I was the only one ever to use it. Outdoor terrace has great views and can get windy so maybw that's why it's not used much either.

My first time visiting Colombia and Bogota was the destination to attend the Luis Miguel concert. I do not normally stay at JWs, but decided to because of it's location to every adventure we were to experience that week. Our room Junior Suite on the executive 8th floor, was ready when we arrived. The hotel is decorated very nicely and well maintained. The only downer was the Asian restaurant in the hotel was closed. I was looking forward to that experience. The JW location is exceptional because of it's location and the great staff (Front desk, housekeeping, door personnel and executive lounge). The executive lounge crew was exceptional. We only ate one meal (breakfast) in The Market Place and was not impressed with the staff. We ordered coffee and tea, we noticed others that came in well after we were seated received their coffee and tea before we received ours. We had to ask three times before we received our drinks. They didn't even bother to check if we wanted jucie etc! As a seasoned veteran traveling to many countries over the past 48 years that service was unacceptable. But we didn't complained we just moved on and said let's stick to the Executive Lounge and they did not disappoint us. The food at the JW is very good. The executive crew was very attentive and fun to interact with. The door staff made sure all our questions were answered and made us feel welcome each time we came through the door. Thank you for recommending Restaurante Daniels, directing us to the different malls. within walking distance and getting taxis for us each time we needed one. I highly recommend this JW Marriott in Bogota!

This was a more than solid hotel in many ways. The rooms were spacious and beds were comfortable with an ultra modern bathroom. The building was attractive and in a good location. The breakfast was fantastic! The staff was extremely helpful as well. Only cons were some of the floor boards in the halls and doors showed signs of wear and they will need updating. The other con is the reservation thing to use any of the facility such as pool and gym. This is just silly and inconvenient to the guest. It’s pure theater. Overall, i highly recommend.

Desde mi llegada a este hotel no he podido percibir la más mínima amabilidad de parte de el personal de recepción de el hotel sin excepción alguna Iniciando desde mi llegada después de un largo viaje fuimos recibidos por un autómata que solo es capaz de ver la pantalla del ordenador y no de dar respuestas coherentes a clientes . Soy miembro de IHG el programa de lealtad que ampara a su hotel siendo está la primera vez que he percibido sólo evasivas , respuestas incoherentes y falta total de cortesía . Desde el día uno pregunte por los beneficios que me da el grado obtenido de lealtad y se me informó que mi reserva había sido hecha con puntos y que además el hotel estaba lleno ! Me pregunto yo si los puntos de lealtad en este hotel no son bien recibidos no deberían aceptar reservas bajo esta modalidad . En cualquier hotel que nos hemos hospedado con mi familia como mínimo recibimos botellas de agua de cortesía , se me informó que esa no era política del hotel . El colmo fue el día de hoy hace unís minutos que llame a recepción solicitando me enviaran 4 tuallas y papel higiénico y la respuesta que recibí me dejo perplejo: que el hotel estaba lleno y que podían atender mi petición hasta las 10 am Porque el hotel se encontraba lleno . Este es un problema administrativo ya que di tienen una capacidad instalada de x número de personas deben será capaces de atender las necesidades de los clientes . Otra situación incómoda fue el día de ayer que ordene comida a el hotel y deseaba que me cambiaran unos billetes de pesos colombianos por otros de menor denominación al que parcamente se me respondió que ellos no efectuaban ese tipo de servicios Creo que en todos los hoteles manejan algún fondo de caja chica . Although well situated, the rindows are single glazed and it is imposs8ble to get a good night's sleep because of the horrendous noise of traffic. Although the staff were generally helpful, I ssked for a wake-up call and it did not come. Nothing is ss important as a wake&up call when one gas a plane to catch. By the way, you have to allow three hours for a ride to the airport, which is supposed to be a 45 minute trip, because traffic is diabolical. One final gripe....rven if your roll of toilet paper is down to half an inch, room service doesn't place asoare roll in the bathroom. If getting a decent night's sleep is important to you, do not even think of staying here.

Wonderful food and nearby coffee shops right next to the park with live musicians especially on weekends and holidays. The old elevator control took a little getting used to since too close to the door and the sensors stopped it. Besides the park and the Boulevard within 3 blocks were big shopping centers and clubs and shops of Central Shopping Andino! Good partying after shopping only a reasonable stroll back. Very nice places even on the corner and fun food vendors in the park night and day. Helpful staff for all things and getting taxis so easy even on Sundays with Blvd closed. We loved breakfast on the patio everyday for 10 days and the Italian restaurant at night. We saw several movie and TV stars at breakfast and coffee. Great sleeping and bathroom - only drawback is glass shower door should have magnetic latch like for cabinets installed so it does not swing open while showering. I always talk about Hotel Virrey Park when telling about Bogota as few Americans know it. I show photos too and had one of the best Xmas ever while there seeing the family and doing Novenas and seeing the city lights and Botanical Gardens.

I agree with the previous reviewer. Staff were pleasant and helpful. I also arrived late evening but communicated with them before as a solo female traveller to be collected from the airport which they kindly arranged. Waiting and ready for me when I landed. The room was not huge but clean and comfortable. Quite small. Bright and fine. Busy hotel. Nice atmosphere with the bar downstairs. I didn't eat at the hotel. This is a safe area unlike some parts. Although you need to take a taxi to the the tourist attractions, this was lovely to come back to as there is shopping, restaurants and bars within walking distance. As I said, I was a female solo traveller and it was safe for me to walk at night. There is also a supermarket nearby. Wifi was fine. The hotel also have their own car, transport like a taxi which I used a few times. This was really good. Drivers were nice and on time. Would recommend. There are a few hotels in the area nearby. This was cheaper than the other options. Good choice. It's not a luxury hotel but a lovely boutique hotel!

Our flight home was the day following our domestic arrival to Bogota and we wanted to see family in the area near GHL Hampton so we stayed here one night for location purposes. In the absence of visiting family we would have stayed at the airport (GHL's other property GHL Capital or Marriott). Obviously this hotel is not great for airport transport since the drive, without traffic is 30 minutes. With traffic it can get as bad as 80 minutes. Whereas airport hotels are a mere 5-10 minutes from the airport. Hamilton is good if you plan to do some touring of Bogota. Location aside, the hotel is nice. It reminds you of a New York City hotel with regard to size, stuffed between two buildings, while the design is very rustic like a boutique hotel. The lobby is very pretty. The rooms are decent but could use some work. Most nice Colombian hotels use tile floors but both GHL properties (Hamilton & Capital) use carpet and frankly, both carpets are pretty gross to be honest. They really need to get rid of the carpet. The window blackout curtains look like they are from the 1900s. I'd much prefer more modern replacements. Bathrooms are very pretty. The room was very comfortable though. Bed was excellent. The breakfast, while included, really could use some improvement. If this breakfast was in the US I'd give it a 5 star rating because we all know US hotel included breakfasts are trash. But being in Colombia it's like a 2 out of 5. The juices are not fresh - they are from box. The sliced fruits are clearly mass produced. The eggs seem to be from a carton. Options are very limited. Seating is also very limited. If you get to the breakfast after 830 you might find yourself waiting for tables to free up. This is all very strange to me because the breakfast at GHL Capital is a lot better, so we had high expectations coming in. Price was pretty good. I recommend you book on their website instead of third party sites. If you signup for an account you'll supposedly get a 10% coupon. I couldn't figure out how to get it to go but whatever. You'll get a discounted price that is lower than any of the third party booking sites (and I love using those sites). Moreover, you may qualify for free transport to the airport from the hotel. One thing that bothered me about the booking process, both from their website and third party sites is that you can't book anything besides a single twin room or two twin room. But the hotel has suites! I had to ask at the front desk to get an upgrade (at a cost). Would i stay here again? If a similar family visit situation occurs, i might, but I'll probably see if there are other options first. I was happy to select this hotel because it was GHL and we like GHL Capital a lot.

A hidden Gem near the 93rd street Park. Great service, beautiful rooms. The rooms are very spacious and have a kitchen area, a spacious living room and plenty of desk space if you need to do some work. The wi-fi works well. The breakfast service is full of fruits and everything that you need in the morning. Lobby bar available. The only thing that I found was the towels to be too rough. Other than that; A+.
