Sherwood Blue Belek - Adults Only

I booked Sherwood blue belek from trip.com. When I arrived at the hotel they told me that there was no free room for me. I told them that I made a reservation but their answer was that the system gives wrong availability. After a long discussion they transferred me to Sherwood dreams resort. This is another hotel next to Sherwood blue belek. I’m not happy whit this transfer but had no other choice because of my limited days off. This was also my first transfer to another hotel. I don’t trust this hotel anymore and would never come back.

The best staff in any Turkish hotel we have been in, and there were many. The location is in the middle of nowhere. There is nothing really going on in the hotel. The food is good but the hotel is a bit tired and work down. But again, the staff was incredibly friendly.

Prior to coming here I’d read lots of reviews and I’d say 95% were super positive. The photos are the same, and so I had high expectations. Firstly we flew with SunExpress (let me preempt that my mother inlaw very kindly organised everything for us as it was my husband and I and my inlaws). Never fly with Sun Express. The whole experience was awful, poor customer service and very old aircraft (my husband’s seat was literally in half and very uncomfortable) the staff didn’t care about this. Moving on to the hotel. It was absolutely beautiful, very clean, kept looking nice and the staff were really friendly and helpful. We upgraded our room right away before we’d even seen the room we were going to get. We upgraded to a room with a jacuzzi (sorry I can’t remember the proper name of it but I’m sure you would have seen the pictures online if you have been looking at possibly booking this hotel). The room was 10/10. Being from the UK though the only down side was that none of the TV channels were in English except sky news, the rest were in German or Turkish. The WiFi was BRILLIANT ! If you don’t like animals- pls don’t waste your time and book this hotel because they are on the grounds and come inside, not a problem for us as we love animals and really appreciated how well they were treated and cared for. The food - I feel was mainly aimed towards the German and Russian guests, I personally struggled to find something I enjoyed but that’s just me. My husband loved the food every night and never struggled like I did. We had room service once and it was delicious and very reasonable. We visited the A’laCarte once for my mother in law’s birthday and they could not have been more helpful- it was the best night and she really was made to feel special. The alcohol was great- all branded and decent measures! Makbule (I think that’s spelt wrong) a waitress here literally made our night every night. Keen to engage and make sure we had everything we needed! Also Eve (spelt differently also) she was incredibly sweet and kind and helpful, genuinely as well. It’s obviously an adult only hotel but the sister hotel next door is for kids. I read that some people complained about the noise late at night but it really wasn’t a problem at all and I’m 45. The little cake shop/cafe was so lovely! They also have ice cream during the day which was extremely delicious especially in the heat. Swimming pool was so great! Really large and a good temperature. There were plenty of sunbeds, there was a sign to say not to reserve them but people still did. We ventured into Belek town and it wasn’t as affluent as I was told. All the shop owners are on you instantly. We went to Restaurant Deniz and it was amazing, the staff were exceptional and the steak was delicious. We had steaks, 2 bottles of wine some starter’s and sheesha’s all for €100. Why a 2 rating and not 1? This hotel does have some pluses, from the big pool, to the alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks and most of the staff who work very hard and long hours... but you can't ignore the numerous negatives. Our room was never fully clean the whole time we were here. Complained day 1, 2 and 3, and after 3 cleans we just gave up (see photo). The balcony wasn't touched once in 2 weeks, the 2 dead mosquito's were on the shower wall the whole 2 weeks, the wall light was loose and dangerous, etc.. Housekeeping also ignored cleanliness with either towels provided with holes or with bad staining. On one occasion I asked for the dirty new towels left (see photo) to be changed at 8pm and at midnight it had still not been done, so I ended up having a slanging match with reception in order to get clean towels for a shower in the morning. We are both vegetarians and although we were ok at breakfast and lunch, the options in the buffet restaurant at dinner were limited and almost always the same. I go on holiday to try and relax, and I just couldn't here due to having to constantly complain, so we won't be coming back. To be fair to the TUI Blue brand, we stayed at the Grand Azur in Marmaris and it was excellent, so not sure why here can't be anywhere near to the same standard?

Beautiful Hotel clean, plenty of sun beds, food was ok nice snack bar for lunch and lovely coffee shop. Steep slope into sea. Down side is if you are British definitely treated differently. Sunset Bar waiter totally ignored us served people several times while we waited so we just got our own drinks but were told wait at table to be served. Breakfast 3 mornings waitress failed to ask if we required tea/coffee just kept walking past to serve others. I went to the hot drinks area and asked for coffee but none came. Emailed complaint and I am glad to say we received drinks from then on. Not one member of the bar staff including entertainment rep and resort rep spoke to us in 14 days. Even quite a few of the guests were very anti British. Air conditioning stopped working and we had a small roof room so unbearably hot. Reported 5 times spent 2 nights on balcony because nothing done. Third night and 6th time of reporting and complaining told them refusing to sleep on chair on balcony and we would sleep in reception. Soon got fixed then. Great hotel lovely pools, nice to have beach setting but certainly would not return to this hotel or Turkey I have given 4 * as hotel has great pool, perfectly clean.

The fast and friendly service is awesome. Great food choice. The breezes snack restaurant has delicious food and u never have to wait. Amazing hotel. Amazing & clean pools and amazing & clean beach. I can only recommend it. Thanks for the beautiful time here!
