Diamond of Bodrum

A weeks all-inclusive stay. We arrived late, just gone midnight and had some teething issues but nothing serious, which were resolved quickly by the hotel staff. The hotel grew on us very quickly and my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had a sea view room which was simply gorgeous, overlooking the Bodrum bay area. The room was cleaned and refreshed every day. I had lowered expectations of the food because of other reviews but we had no complaints at all. The food was varied, fresh and very tasty and much better than other, higher rated (5 star) resorts we have stayed in. The hotel is rated 3.5 star by Jet 2 and this is probably about right. The facilities were very good such as in indoor pool/spa and a gym. I read reviews of people complaining there's no toaster at breakfast time. This is factually correct, but there is a sandwich press/grill which toasts your bread, so no issues for us anyway. Entertainment was thin on the ground I'd say, by way of professional evening shows but the season was only just starting, in mid-May. In terms of location, I think the hotel is probably one of the best. Stunning views over Bodrum bay and just 5 mins walk into the centre of the resort with all the bars, restaurants and shops. The staff at the hotel are lovely and helpful. Special mention to the two wonderful Queens of the lobby bar, Hilal and Arzu! Thank you to everyone at the Diamond for making our stay so lovely. And as for the resort, Bodrum is now our favourite.

Me and my friends stayed at the Diamond of Bodrum for 6 nights in June 2024, we all went to celebrate our 40th birthdays. The hotel is situated in front of the harbour and beach and walking distance to the local shops and marina. We had a lovely stay, there was a variety of food on offer something different everyday and the drinks were great for an all inclusive. The hotel itself although it's pleasant with beautiful views it is somewhat dated and the rooms could do with updating. Particularly the air conditioning as it was weak, our shower kept on flooding which was not great. The spa was lovely and treatments were relaxing. I would like to thank Eray and Furkan (on the night shift) for their hospitality and keeping us entertained whilst me and my friends were playing cards into the early hours of most mornings we were there. Thank you also to Mujahid for kindly extending our room checkout time as we were leaving late on our checkout day. It was very kind. The poolside entertainment could offer more of a variety for different audiences but for the trip us girls were on it was fine as we wanted to relax. Bodrum is quieter than other areas in Turkey so perfect for relaxation. I would most certainly visit again to have a chilled out holiday.

Upon arrival, the hotel room was dirty... there were still cigarettes and ashes on the floor of the balcony, the mini bar was so dirty that we didn't even trust the bottles in it. the room was extremely hot and the door was loose. After saying something about this at the reception, a cleaning lady would come and someone would come for the air conditioning, the cleaning lady never came... the handyman said that the air conditioning was central so you couldn't adjust it. on the 3rd day the door fell apart so much that we had to hold it... this also took a day after asking twice before it was fixed. staff hardly speaks english and makes a clear distinction between Turkish guests and European guests. For example, tables were set aside and run for drinks, food and service. As a European guest you can walk to get your drinks during dinner and you are lucky if you have a clean table. the hotel rules were not adhered to, people sat with glass in the pool and people smoked in the pool, cigarettes, cigars, you name it, very hygienic... the food was mediocre, little choice and at 9:00 PM sharp all the food is done cleaned up. If you want to spend your day at the pool, you can get out of bed at 6 a.m. during your holiday, otherwise you won't have a place. You have to be constantly alert throughout the day to ensure that your parasol or bed is not stolen. We were without water twice during the shower, very nice with your hair in the shampoo. When you flushed the toilet, you had to push it back otherwise it would continue to flush. The view and location are perfect, but that's all.

Was a lovely stay with my mum and sister. Staff were so attentive. Massage/hamman was amazing and the man who represented the spa was so friendly and attentive. As well even though it got busy the boy at the beach always made sure we got a lounger.

We stayed at the Diamond Hotel in bodrum in May for a week with my partner. The staff were lovely, very welcoming and always helpful. The room we stayed in was very cleaned and the view from the balcony was amazing. The hotel offered a great variety of different food. They have part of the beach in front of the hotel that is private just for hotel guest which is lovely.

Great hotel Great location just gets a bit noisy if you're in rooms beside the reception or smoking area. But other than that great location. Good food. Yep, good stuff the staff are very welcoming and friendly and helpful Just a short walk to town

Upon arrival we were met with nice, smiling, cheerful and helpful reception staff and a doorman who showed us to our rooms after a quick check in. We were shown right away where the 24hr bar was, and asked if we required any food after travelling. A late check in, so do no expect a full buffet selection, but sandwiches were tasty enough, and enjoyed by all who had them. We had 2 rooms between 5 of us, my only complaint would be the balcony, maybe been spoilt in the past, but these are more like extended sills than a balcony. When I’m on holiday a hotel room is where you bunk down, refresh and go again. The rooms are fresh and clean. House keeping visit every day. Beds are comfy enough with good heavy pillows that won’t do a disappearing act through the night. Bathroom was also clean and tidy, always had hot water for showering, possibly could do with an extraction fan in the bathrooms. Mini fridge had fizzy drinks and bottled water the first day, then just water thereafter, but again, with drinks included in the all inclusive, it didn’t bother us. Quite happy with water if needing a drink through the night. The TV worked as you expect, mostly local tv with few English channels, but again, if I wanted to watch TV, I would have stayed at home and done so there. Various WC’s throughout the hotel so you are never far away from one. Roof terrace bar, nice for drinks to watch the sun setting over a view consisting of Bodrum bay and castle, with a choice and cakes through out the day. Also couchs and tables indoor overlooking the reception for a more chilled evening. Main reception bar, 24hr drinks available with same views as roof terrace but behind a wall of glass with access to a small outdoor smoking area. Pool bar again offering drinks throughout the day, and poolside snack bar does food ice cream. Restaurant was always well kept, clean and tidy, and empty plate taken away as and when required. Plenty drinks available, tea and coffee on tap if required. Food always fresh, And always something you manage to eat from. Could possibly do with more kid friendly options, but again, that’s being picky. Cakes……. Well, you will not be disappointed. There is a restaurant on the bottom floor, but we didn’t use this one, so I cannot say any more other than it is there, with is also the beach bar facility, which can be accessed by entering a man made cave access to the hotel. This was quite cool. Facilities…….. The pool……… not huge, but fine, chilly to get into, but nice when you are in. Water always very clean. Various Spa treatment can be purchased within the hotel. Free use of the sauna (used this a few times) and also the gym. Kids can use this too, with parents present, which is good. The beach area. As mentioned, this can be accessed directly from the hotel complex by going through a cave, or by crossing the road, which I imagine will be quite busy when cruise boats are docked. Would I use the hotel again………? Yes I would.

The hotel was sold to us as a 5* hotel , which the hotel insists it is, I beg to differ and according to the Ministry of Culture & Tourism in Turkey using their Hotel grading system this hotel only meets the 3* criteria. There is no room service, tv channels are not international, staff are not bi lingual, no dressing gowns in room,. We found the food poor, Luke warm at best. Breakfast/lunch/dinner all pretty much the same. Lots of choice of salads, olives, cakes, sweets. No fresh fruit juices , everything from a carton. The coffee machines whether you choose cappuccino, latte, flat white all taste the same (like Nescafé with coffee mate). Alcohol all local drinks . Cocktails were poor - brown granulated sugar used to sweeten not sugar syrup. I argue that there are 3 restaurants as restaurant 2 and 3 are the same- it’s just they open the restaurant (they call snack bar) 12-5pm (this served best food) then open it as the Al la Carte in the evening , which is Seafood and you can eat there once during your weeks stay - thereby leaves only the main buffet restaurant to eat at the rest of your stay. No tea or coffee facilities in the room, ice was constantly running out. One elevator (out of two) was out of use 4 days during our stay which either meant a long wait or a walk up and downstairs not ideal if on 7th floor. Our sea view room was obstructed by trees and terrace. The whirlpool is redundant - filled with stones. The pool area is nice unfortunately has the problem of beds being reserved very early in the morning so need to get your towels down early. Beach area is small and shingle (not bucket & spade sand) . Rooms are ok . A/C passable but rooms never cold. Bathrooms small with shower over bath. Mini bar was not refilled during our stay although did ask on three seperate occasions for it to be replenished. The staff were very friendly and work hard and the hotel is kept clean. Great views from the roof terrace . Excellent location- just a short and very pleasant walk into Bodrum town and the castle.

Went all inclusive. Had a wonderful time, meet lots friendly people. Hotel staff were lovely and got to know how to pour my drinks 😃. Food , lunch was lovely, burgers, salad, giros which were large. Try the cafe , which is on the road. Plenty of sun beds when we went, Bad point, very small balcony, and being a smoker and like a a cup of tea in the morning, no way. If you paid extra you might get a bigger balcony where you are not touching knees.
