I was staying with a friend in a twin room for two nights, to visit a member of the Starlight Express cast, the Hotel is perfectly situated right next door to the Theatre. The Reception Staff were very welcoming and our room was esy to find, using a lift. The room itself was very clean, spacious and airy (it was a very hot weekend). Water (both Still & Sparkling), was provided. The bed was very comfortable and bedding crisp and clean. Bathroom was fine with a good Shower. Room would be improved by supplying Tea & Coffe making facilites and an extra mirror, as good mirrors in bathroom and one full ength on Bathroom door, but the room could de with another mirror in the main room, so that two people can get ready at the same time. The Breakfast was really good, with an excellent choice of Continental, with a smaller choice of cooked, but excellent all around and the Coffee was very good. The Courtyard area is a lovely area for coffee or a Cocktail and the restaurant staff were really friendly, professional, with all staff speaking English. I hope to be staying again next year- thank you very much team H!

I stayed at the hotel again, for the first time since Covid, as I was seeing Starlight Express which is right next door. The reception and dining room staff were extremely welcoming and all spoke English which was a great help for someone like me who is lacking in the German language! The bedroom itself was immaculate and breakfast and other meals excellent.

The location is great next to the Starlight Express Theatre which we were visiting. Unfortunately the bar was closed after we’d seen the show although we were able to use the fridge in the lobby. Breakfast was a buffet style and an excellent selection. The room was a good size although the decor was rather dated. Overall we had a good stay.

Ich muss jedem von einer Übernachtung im H+ in Bochum abraten. Unsere Bettdecke hatte massive Flecken, welche nach eingetrocknetem Blut aussahen. Zudem hatten wir einen Schimmelfleck im Zimmer. Auf unsere Reklamation wurde an der Rezeption freundlich aber nichtssagend reagiert. Auf die versprochene Rückmeldung warten wir bis heute, trotz mehrfacher Erinnerung via Mail. Weitere Punkte zum Hotel: - Die Lage ist für Besucher von Starlight Express erstklassig - Das gesamte Hotel hat eher den Charme einer Jugendherberge. - Zimmer sind zweckmäßig aber stark in die Jahre gekommen - Das Bad war klein, hatte eine schlechte Lüftungsanlage und eine Duschwanne mit Stoffvorgang. Dieser Stoffvorgang zeigte unten bereits schwarze Verfärbungen - Das Restaurant und die Bar sind eher unterdurchschnittlich. Auswahl an Speisen sehr klein. Currywurst war lecker aber der Burger dem Preis (20€) geschmacklich nicht angemessen. Zudem waren die Cocktails nicht stark sondern bestanden aus so viel Alkohol dass sie kaum zu genießen waren. - Frühstücksbuffet war reichhaltig und gut Alles in allem würde ich auch Musical Besuchern raten ein Hotel mit etwas schlechterer Lage zu wählen, da das H+ Hotel unseren Erwartungen während und nach dem Aufenthalt sowie im Umgang mit Reklamationen nicht gerecht geworden ist.

Für einen Musical Besuch genügt es … Wir wurden freundlich empfangen und der Empfangsmitarbeiter war nett und hilfsbereit. Das Hotel an sich hat die besten Jahre hinter sich, trotzdem ist es sehr sauber und den Umständen entsprechend gepflegt. Beim betreten des Zimmers kam uns ein etwas „muffiger“ Geruch entgegen, so dass wir zuerst einmal gelüftet haben. Der Seifenspender war leer, ansonsten war alles vorhanden. Die Matratzen auf den Zimmern sind äußerst bequem und gut. Absolut störend ist die Schliesanlage der Zimmertüren. Diese sind so straff eingestellt und jeder Gast lässt die Tür zufallen, durch das Geknalle wird man morgens ganz sicher wach. Am Abend wurden wir in der Bar sehr freundlich und nett bedient. Die Getränke waren ok … Beim Frühstück, kam man in den Raum und wollte nach einem Tisch fragen, doch die Mitarbeiter ließen sich im Gespräch nicht stören. Das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr umfangreich und es fehlte an nichts, nur sollte man, auch wenn das Frühstück bald endet, die warmen Speisen im Auge behalten. Der Speck war mehr als knusprig, eher trocken und hart, die Pfannkuchen auf der einen Seite matschig und auf der anderen Seite trocken. Der Orangensaft würde gekühlt schmecken. Ansonsten war es OK. Wie gesagt, für einen Musical Besuch und eine Nacht ok

Ottima esperienza nella cittadina di Bochum! L'hotel è a una ventina di minuti a piedi dal centro ed ha spazi molto ampi, sia la sala della colazione, sia la hall, sia le camere stesse. Nelle camere l'arredamento è curato e nuovo, le stanze sono molto illuminate. La colazione era molto buona e varia, spaziava dal salato al dolce. Oltre ai vari campioncini, l'albergo metteva a disposizione delle ciabatte usa e getta. Personale gentile e disponibile. Ottima esperienza, lo consiglio.
