Dormero Hotel Worms

We arrived for a stop over in Worms. At first glance the hotel looks nice enough. However this was marred by the reception looking like a bomb site as they were looking after the turtles. So mops and buckets everywhere. The card entry system was broken and so we had to be escorted back and forth to our rooms. This was a bit of a pain. Then the lift was out of order so we had to get the rest of our bags up three flights of stairs. Worms itself is lovely. And we spent a few hours exploring. We returned to have a drink at the bar to find there was one lady in the back office also doing reception AND bar duties. To be told that she needed to “look for a can of coke” did not bode well. I checked the turtles as they were still in a half empty dirty tank. But they looked ok. We were given a cleaners access card in the end to get into our and the kids rooms. I didn’t try. But I assume that this would also have given us access to all the rooms here. Bit of concern. The pillows are terrible and they must have got the lift working as it kept the kids awake all night. Shower cubicle wasn’t very nice and the plastic glasses in the bathroom I wouldn’t let my cat drink out of. All in all. Avoid! We are off to Kaiser Passage for breakfast.
