We stayed for 6 nights at this lovely home - and it feels like a home and not a guesthouse. It must be the small amount of rooms (5) which give it a more exclusive feel. The guesthouse is located facing the beach and table mountain and is a few streets back from the expansive and fantastic blouberg beach. Our room was the Lion's Den and had its own sitting area with sofa, sink , microwave and tv. The balcony faced the street and overlooked table mountain, it was not an uninterrupted view but it was gorgeous just the same for one the most beautiful cities in the world in my opinion. the bathroom was huge with separate shower unit, corner bath and two basins - one each! and all spotlessly clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. The welcome was warm as the weather and Nellie was a lovely host. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking was in an allocated space in the garage and although houses were bordered by high walls and electric fences, at no time did I feel uncomfortable or threatened in any way. All felt very safe with people out running and walking dogs. The breakfast was generous and served at table in the hall area near the open plan kitchen. I found that the granola starter was enough for me, but a cooked breakfast was served if you had a larger appetite. We are staying here again in September and will make this guesthouse our regular place to stay when we are in Cape Town visiting relatives. Fairview wine estate do the most wonderful lunch and the staff are terrific. We would give the Boschendal estate a miss frankly.
