Stayed at Gladheimar in one of the, one bedroom cabins. Great clean, comfortable and functional self catering facilities, with amenities within walking distance if required. Very helpful owner and Wifi within the cabin great as well, recommend a stay here if travelling in the area

Overall a decent experience. The trash under the sink was full. There were lights that did not work in the bedrooms. Because of the strong wind that night you could feel the cabin move with the gusts of wind. Did enjoy the quiet atmosphere with the river close by.

Rooms are dirty and obviously sheets are not changed between guests. We found hairs on pillows and on bathroom walls. The room doors do not lock and the owner barged into our room without knocking and started asking how many people are staying in the room and that we move out (we were 3 persons in a 5 bed room). I did not feel safe and in order to sleep properly we blocked the door with one bed to stop further night visits. The room was pre booked and paid weeks in advance and the owner showed me to the room upon arrival, so there was no mistake with the room.

It was wonderful! The landscape, the peace, force of nature, and of course the awesome cottage, with hot tub and everything you might need! The Host and all personnel is very kind and gentle. Everything was perfect. Thanks a lot Gladheimar!!

Weloming and helpful host. Spacious warm cabin. Comfy beds. Hot tub! Perfect place to stop on our way around Iceland. We turned on the hot tub before we had supper and it was ready for us when we'd finished eating. Very enjoyable stay. Thanks!

It was a sweet warm Cottage, perfect for our small stop on our way to the North of Iceland. Everything was clean and ready for us when we arrived. It had a Prive Bathroom ( the Showers were in the communal area but it was quite clean) Everything was clean. We had Cottage #2

These are great little cabins right off the Ring Road. Easy to find. Ours had plenty of space, a kitchen and large dining table. The cabin is a little outdated, but clean and quaint. The staff was very friendly, and when I asked if there was a place to do laundry, he offered to do it at no cost. I don't think this is a typical service they offer, so I greatly appreciated it, and it was done in a couple hours.

It was so nice. The host is amazing. We stayed in a nice cabin with a hot tub :) Beautiful surroundings and the cabin had amazing WiFi connection. Like, super fast! 5G connection. We just cant complain about anything! We are definitely coming back. Soon!
