My parents and nephews only had the best reviews for the place. It has everything you need and they ensured that extra blankets were available. Clean apartments and very nice surroundings.

The hotel was excellent and a great location the staff were very helpful and friendly.As soon as we arrived the reception staff were very polite and helpful, the restaurant staff also very friendly and helpful.

We were there for a weekend. This is not the Hilton but the beds were great and the rooms were clean. The manageress ( forgive me for forgetting her name. She was so tall she had different weather than us) but she was brilliant. She sorted us out. We had torrential rain. They just kept at it. They ran a bar for us and the kids were fantastic. Jambo ( I think he was having me on) and Abby were top notch. ( I remember their names because they served us a lot . Great place brilliant staff and all round 5 star 3 star resort .

We checked in and was directed to the unit. It is not as shown on pics. The rest of the lodge look decent, but the cottages are horrible. We left without staying there.

Overnight stay with family on the way back to Gauteng from holiday. Rustic, clean. The accomodation is well priced and the breakfast included in the booking was great and the staff friendly. Restaurant and bar on premises but noise levels were acceptable.

I have been going to Bains Lodge approximately 4 times a year for conferences for the past 5 years. The package that we have is for the conference facility/boardroom for two days, refreshments for the 2 days, lunch for the 2 days, as well as, accommodation (bed & breakfast) for myself for 3 nights. The staff at Bains Lodge have always been willing to go above and beyond. From checking in and being welcomed by friendly people in reception, to staying in good and clean rooms, to friendly staff serving you a delicious breakfast in the morning, not to mention the fantastic lunch in the afternoon, I have always been treated as a VIP. Thank you Henrico, Erica, Anja, and all the staff at Bains Lodge for treating me more as a friend that as a mere client.
