Starting with rooms not being ready at 14:00 which is check-in time, no refreshments offered while you wait. No mini-bar fridge in the room, apparently they don't have enough for each room to have one, so you must improvise with an ice bucket. Only 1 bottle of 300ml still water provided per day. Day 2, housekeeping didn't replace the used hand towels...still no fridge available. Day 3, by 13:20 the room had not been cleaned by housekeeping...still no fridge, reported all issues to duty manager in order for hotel to redeem itself. Day 4, by 12:56 the room had not been cleaned by housekeeping, and informed same manager...by 14:57 housekeeping still did not bring fresh towels and maintenance walked past my room to move a fridge to another room - alas I only get an ice bucket again. Never has Southern Sun ever let me down this much. The only redemption is their chefs and evening waiting staff. If I wasn't booked to stay here by my employer for work, I would have demanded a refund and checked into another hotel.
