Good location although you need to work into town to find restaurants and bars. Pleasant staff, rooms ok. Relaxed atmosphere.

Great motel especially for the price! Had everything you needed & very spacious! Obviously busy too given the number of cars parked there in the evening! Only feedback would be appliances weren’t as modern as some other places we’ve stayed at, at similar room rates but very minor! Check in was quick and easy and motel manager very friendly! Would recommend!

We had such a wonderful experience staying at the Blenheim Palms Motel — from the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome. The staff were warm, friendly, and genuinely helpful, going out of their way to make sure everything was perfect for our stay. Our room was spotlessly clean, beautifully presented, and incredibly comfortable — the attention to detail really stood out. The bed was super comfy, the amenities were excellent, and we loved the little touches that made it feel extra special. The location couldn’t be better — right in the heart of Blenheim, close to great cafes, restaurants, and shops, but still lovely and peaceful. Parking was easy and convenient too. Overall, it was a five-star experience from start to finish. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend Blenheim Palms Motel to anyone visiting Marlborough. A true gem!

This is our favourite motel! We have been coming for three years now and we always receive a warm welcome. Our room (we always request the same one) is light and airy and quiet. The beds are comfortable and the room is spacious and is well equipped for all our needs. The staff are amazing - especially Shaun, who runs the motel. We are very happy to recommend it. It is very convenient for the town and has a supermarket close by.

To add to the review regarding no refund for cancellation as one of the group affected it should be pointed out that the rate was double that advertised as normal ($800pn instead of $400) which we accepted as it was a holiday booking even though double is pretty steep. Unfortunately we were 2 days too late to cancel. Therefore a partial refund or credit for a future trip would have been appropriate, not the aggressive tirade delivered by the owner. I have seen the original request and it was perfectly polite. We do travel a lot, have never been called “entitled”, and have always received friendly considerate treatment.

We were intending to travel to Blenheim for the Omaka Airshow, but due to extreme weather conditions, had to cancel. The Omaka Airshow has since also cancelled their Event. I phoned the Motel and also sent emails requesting a partial refund or a credit. This is the last response I received. They volunteered the Pilot info to me then turn around and say, ‘it is none of my Business’!! Also them calling me ‘entitled’ I don’t believe their response has done any favours for their future business. Pam, My husband replied to you previously before I had chance to respond but I would also like to add…. In regards to the rooms occupied by the pilots - they were intelligent enough to have travel insurance in place, so we will still be reimbursed for their stay (not that is any of your business) and as I previously mentioned via email and in our terms and conditions on out website this is exactly the reason why we recommend our guests take out their own personal travel insurance to cover themselves in the event that something like this happens. You do not seem to be taking in board the fact that this is our livelihood and our families ability to survive. Many small hospitality businesses such as ours have been on the brink of losing everything post covid and quite frankly, I am sick of entitled people such as yourself thinking they can continue to take advantage of our good nature and not stick to the terms and conditions they have agreed to when booking because it no longer suits their situation, and they have not been smart enough to ensure their own plans have been protected. I do not see how the cancellation of a major event such as this should affect me and my families livelihood. You decided not take the necessary precautions to protect yourself (as we have with our cancellation policy) should something like this happen, this is NOT OUR FAULT. Bottom line is that I will not let my business and my family be punished because you failed to protect yourself. We will not be entering into any further communication with you regarding this and, we are well within our rights to charge you in full. I hope that this serves a lesson to you as to the importance of travel insurance. And hope that you think not just of yourself but also of the small businesses that you decisions may effect in future. It also wouldn’t hurt for you to spend a bit of time working on your bedside manner - you certainly hasn’t done you any favours. Ruth

Superbly appointed room with great kitchen facilities, complete with capsule coffee maker! Nice touches elsewhere too e.g. proper computer chair to use. Really spacious bathroom with walk-in shower and loads of towels. Very comfortable bed and overall a good experience. Super friendly hosts. Easy walking distance to Blenheim shops, restaurants, theatre etc. Highly recommended.

This was a great place to stay in Blenheim. Reasonably priced. Lovely reception/owners on the desk when i arrived. Beautifully clean and tastefully decorated unit. It was equipped with all the necessary kitchenette utensils, a heatpump, and bathroom amenities. I particularly liked that there was an extra power point by the beside table. However, the aspect I appreciated the most staying at this motel (having stayed at 4 others nearby), was the lack of traffic noise. The motel is easy peasey walking distance to Blenheim mainstreet shops, supermarket and restaurants/cafes. My only con is the air freshener aromatics in my room were a bit too strong for the unit size. Easily fixed by returning them to reception. I really like and recommend this motel and plan to stay here again when next in town.
