The location of the hotel is perfect but the bedding is a nightmare, super sore back the next day and unfortunately the studio is not clean Really too bad I have come several times but it is always the same The only positive point is the welcome at the reception, the girls are always smiling and adorable

We are staying for two weeks in a studio apartment, it has everything you need for self catering, the sofa bed is the only thing I will moan about, its not the comfiest as a bed. Our room which is 8th floor was quite and apart from the odd guest sat on the balcony, you can only hear the lapping of the waves, the resort shuts at the end of September but theres plenty of bars and restraunt's still open.

I am feeling very frustrated. I arrived at 9pm and traveled from Norway to stay from October 6th to 8th. Since my birthday was on October 4th, I arrived tired and the reception was closed. I walked carrying a lot of weight to the Horitizó hotel, because a sign said that I would have to check in there, where the receptionist “Ana Clara” made me pay a €200 deposit, insinuating that something might go missing from the apartment during my stay. “Ana Clara” was extremely rude and ironic! She said that if I didn’t like the place, I shouldn’t come back! She completely ruined the vibe of my trip. She treated me despicably. A type of person who is not suited for the job she does, the card I use was not accepted at the place and she said: “I can’t believe you don’t have another one, after all you need to eat, extremely unnecessary!!!! I have traveled to more than 21 countries and I have been to almost all of Spain and I have never been so mistreated in my entire life, not to mention that the apartment smells of incense, where she put me on the first floor where you could hear the noise of people slamming doors, cars and people talking. It ruined my trip and if I could I would leave tomorrow, I do not recommend it to anyone who arrives late from their trip and has to check in at another reception. Nowhere in the email or receipts does it say that I have to pay a deposit, but the problem here isn't even the money. It's the attitude of the receptionist. I’m going to take pictures of the apartment, I want my deposit back and the feeling of frustration is immense. I was mistreated I don't feel safe and I'm afraid of being treated in other places the same way I was treated by the receptionist, I came from Norway to sunbathe and ended up getting traumatic stress!!!! Terrible experience!!!!

We were on a girls break in a 2 bed apartment. Place was spotlessly clean, bathroom had shampoo and bodywash available & lovely white towels. (Cleaning lady very nice and accommodating) Very spacious apartment with full kitchen and most beautiful view of the sea. We arrived late so had to checkin at hotel, few minutes walk away, wasn't a big deal.

Arrived at 1am and had to do a 10 minute walk to Hotel Horitzo which we already knew about. We met a lovely receptionist that sorted out our keys, took our tax payment and did the E200 authorisation on the card. When we we back to the appartments the vending machine had barely any stock and every thing was shut. The sofa bed was not made up, so wearily we climbed into bed after making it. The matress was so thin that the bars from the sofa pushed through and I was in pain and barely slept. In the morning we awoke to a massive stench of drains, the spare pillows did not have pillow cases and there was BLOOD spatters on the curtains. I went back to reception to complain. Another lovely receptionist moved us up to the 8th floor, this time there was no smell, a clean apartment and a comfortable sofa bed. The manager popped in to see us which was a nice touch. I showed him the balcany as the glass divider was cracked and he already knew about it. I did some shopping and we settled in. But there was a big ***** of the kitchen unit missing, no hot water and only one bath towel. Also when I tried to plug the kettle in the base was all melted - really dangerous. Finally I discovered the hob did not work! Not great for self catering I went back to reception in the other hotel (there was no reception at all in the apartment block - just an empty office). They replaced the kettle, towel and fixed the water. But the did not fix the hob and had no spare apartments to move us to, and was very apologetic about it. I filled in the online survey asking for a free meal as I could not cook anything and I was ignored. The area where the apartment block is on the beach, near the caravan parks and is about 15-20 walk (all flat) into the main town. There is a very expensive little supermarket nearby and a bar. But lots of closed bars and restaurants, it was like a ghost town. It maybe because it was April and things werent open yet? The views from every apartment face the sea and they are spectacular. There is a little playground and a couple of nice restaurants about 5 minutes away. Although the staff were genuinely lovely, it was painful to keep trapsing down everytime I discovered a problem. I wouldnt return to these apartments, but may consider staying at the hotel puely based on how nice the staff were? Note: the E200 deposit was back in thr bank account the day after returning.

We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived at the venue by the friendly, helpful receptionist. Our apartment overlooked the beach and we watched the sunrise every morning. We had a maintenance issue with the apartment when we arrived which reception sorted very quickly together with sourcing a corkscrew for us on Christmas Day. We had friends staying nearby who were also able to join us in our apartment.

Location is fabulous however once you look past the stunning views and look closely at the furnishings then you start to notice how tired and shabby the rooms actually are! The sofa bed in room 707 was covered in stains, the curtains had holes in them and we’re actually dirty (don’t think they had been cleaned since they were hung) the maiden outside was covered in dirt and dust which we cleaned as we couldn’t put out our towels. I took photos of the room as we were told when we booked in that the hotel charged €200 deposit as we were liable to leave the room in a clean condition. We were dropped off by our transfer company around the corner and told the hotel was just around the corner, when we arrived at the hotel there was a note on the door telling us we must go to the Hotel Horitzo. No map no instructions, not ideal when you have been travelling through the night, in a foreign country, don’t speak Spanish and you have to stop and ask someone if they can help? We did find out where the hotel was some 600 meters away with 4 pieces of luggage in 75 degrees heat! Then we had to trape back and were confronted with a disgusting room. But as Brits we tried to make good and mend, we bought a load of cleaning stuff and stayed the night, however one night was enough on the sofa bed which was the worst nights sleep in my life, another trip down to the Hotel Horitzo and we showed our evidence and asked to be moved and they obliged by asking €20 per night more for room 101. Once again the room wasn’t up to standard but we persevered and cleaned it ourselves, we shouldn’t have been put in that situation as the resort had only just opened and all the rooms should have been pristine imo, the outside of the accommodation was being used as a dog’s toilet per stains on the outside of the building, this should have been hosed down on a daily basis, we won’t be staying here again, I waited for my deposit to be placed back into my account before writing this review
