Travelodge by Wyndham Blairmore

The room was nice. The check-in was positive. There was a crew of drywallers occupying 3 adjacent suites who had doors open to the hall. Were smoking pot inside and then chose our window to drink and shout around on our first night. No one did anything about it and the booze cans and bottles weren’t removed until the following afternoon. Pizza from the restaurant was very good. Drywall crew must have been worked hard the following day because we barely heard a peep.

This hotel offered very good value. Considering what I paid, my expectations were well exceeded. The room was modern and the staff very friendly. I was comfortable and enjoyed the breakfast. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

It was ok. Typical hotel experience. They were doing renovations so had to enter through the back way, but other than that it was as expected.

Great place to stay This Travelodge in Blairmore is undergoing a huge renovation. We had a ground floor room with a king bed. What a terrific renovation! New flooring, new furniture, new bed and bedding and towels and bathroom. Very comfortable clean, quiet room. There is a k-cup coffee pot, and a small fridge and microwave in the room. The bathroom has been redone beautifully as well. New everything! Including a lowflow toilet and an awesome deep tub. We lost a star because there was no way to turn on the shower! There is a restaraunt attached. Unfortunately we had eaten before we got to Blairmore, and left before breakfast. This was a great choice at a great price. Exactly what we needed. Yes, we would stop there again, and certainly we would try the restaraunt too!

My room had clogged toilet, I believe the staff knew about the issue and they still assigned us that room. The pot overflowed with water coming into the room. This made the experience highly unacceptable. The parking lot was super icy, no evidence of salt on the walkways. I will never live at this property again nor will recommend anyone else to book it.

I was prepared for this hotel to be basic and it does offer what is needed as basic goes. The beds were comfy and the provided toiletries were good, good quality sheets and towels. The staff were all lovely especially the restaurant and front desk, and the other staff obviously work hard as observed. I was only there for one night for convenience on a long drive. Surface the property is clean, but it could do with a real deep clean around the back of things and the doorways. Small improvements could elevate the experience easily. There was absolutely no sound proofing on the main door to the room and the hallway and people were loudly walking around they could do with just adding some sound proofing/sound proof seals around the doors to elevate quality of sleep - especially with laminate flooring, nothing is absorbing the sound. I slept with the air con on all night to block out noise, And a towel along the base of the door. The window in my room was unlocked on the ground floor at the back of the building under two layers of blinds. I checked this but I was a bit creeped out by the fact it was unlocked. In the morning I left my key in the room and wasn’t asked for ID for a new one. Possibly they had a copy of my licence and could see my photo which is fine, but it made me wonder if a key would have been handed over that easily to anyone. The town is small and safety may not be as major concern to the hotel as it is to me as a woman travelling alone for this instance.
