The Garden House

We were at Coombe Lodge for a wedding. Garden House was full with wedding guests like ourselves. Bearing in mind that The Garden House does not have a kitchen the breakfast is very good and varied. The rooms are modern and well appointed. Decoration in rooms and corridors reception etc is up together. Nice large bathroom. Good parking facilities. Even if the B & B car park is full (Its right next to the building) Coombe Lodge has a large Carpark which is about 2 mins walk away. Usual Hairdryer, Tea and ~Coffee facilities in room but I also noticed a communal Iron and Ironing board. If there is a wedding and they have music you can hear it in the distance but it stops at midnight. Not an issue if you are at the wedding but if you are on holiday you might experience some momentary disruption to your sleep as wedding guests return to the B&B. Bear in mind they don't necessarily have weddings every day of the week. Overall I think it has everything I would expect for a quality B&B and I heard no complaints or moans from fellow guests at breakfast.

The rooms were clean and comfortable with everything you need. The only challenge was gaining admission. The main hotel advised that I needed to go to the reception. When I arrived there was no receptionist. I then had to go back to the hotel who advised me to look for an email. I found the email and went back. It was not easy to access the key. The gardener kindly helped but even she had an issue. Quite frustrating.

We stayed over when attending a wedding at Coombe Lodge. The room was ready on arrival at midday. It was a very clean and modern room! There were also Bramley products in the bathroom which was a bonus! It took about 2 minutes to walk to the venue too which was very handy! Would definitely recommend for the location and price!

My second visit was as pleasurable as the first. Both times were wedding celebrations. Combe Lodge is a beautiful location and the Garden House accommodation is comfortable, modern and clean. The super friendly staff and great food made it a perfect stay. Can recommend with confidence : )

We were due to attend a wedding in 8 months time so had booked a room last year. Unfortunately the wedding has been cancelled so contacted the owner to cancel the rooms. I appreciate that the cancellations policy states that 50% will only be returned, but we were hopefully that with 8 months notice the decent thing would be for the money to be returned. I’m sure that the rooms will be booked again within the next 8 months. Customer service not the greatest in what is already a difficult time

Beautiful setting in grounds of wedding venue .easy check in with friendly staff member. Rooms clean and fresh nice touches of chocolate and well stocked with tea coffee etc. Very comfortable bed and good sized bathroom with bath/shower. No full length mirror which I would have liked as getting ready for wedding party. Views to gardens and drive uninterrupted but this was both ways so people walking enjoying the views could see straight into the room. Maybe a voile or net to obscure while we were getting ready would have been good as it was we had to close the blind and put light on. Breakfast served 8.30 till 9.30 we went down for 9.10 the room was well laid out and bright , good choice of cereals and pastry. Although the cooked breakfast was under hot lamps it was all cold sadly except for the sausages which by the way were delicious . We would come again that said as well presented and in lovely setting.
