Even nicer than the photos! Beautiful setting, surrounded by patio seating and flowers. Inside is well-maintained, with lovely dining area, community refrigerator, and glasses and mugs to borrow. Each room is unique; we stayed in “New Orleans”. No TV in any room, which we appreciated. Nicole greeted us warmly and helped us settle in. Heather does a great job maintaining rooms and gardens. Loved the kitties outside! Delicious breakfast served 9:00-9:30. Such a unique place! Will recommend to others!

Cute place with free breakfast. We enjoyed a comfortable bed and great service. This felt very homey. This has everything you may need. It’s close to Marshall and about a 20 minute drive. There is a balcony that would be great when the weather is better.

Stayed here the night that we went to see a production at The Lyceum in Arrow Rock A wonderful hotel....full of history. Very clean. The owner was super nice. Breakfast the next morning was included and consisted of eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, juice, and coffee...delicious. There were several trains in the night that passed very close...the hotel provides ear plugs to sleep, but it really didn't bother us at all. We selected room #7...ground floor and the only room on that level. We had a door that led to a very nice patio area. Overall, a very pleasant stay... we'd do it again.

The wife and I loved this hotel! Late check in worked flawlessly. Beautiful lobby and rooms. Our room, the Reading, opened to Blackwater's main street, close to all the action. GM Nichole is a wonderful host. Highly recommended!

Charming, romantic, and unique! This hotel is beautiful and offers great hospitality! It was a refreshing change from chain hotels with attention to every detail. The drive from the hotel to the Lyceum theater in Arrow Rock was lovely with blue wildflowers lining the roads and rolling hills… We walked a block to find dark skies and the stars were stunning. Highly recommend this memorable, beautifully restored hotel.

We enjoyed our second stay at the Iron Horse Hotel. It's rich history is nestled in an idyllic setting. From the welcoming front porch to the opulent parlor, you feel you've stepped back in time when craftsmanship was truly showcased in every detail. The beautiful staircase, archways, unique antiques, brick & stone walls, clawfoot tubs, intricate crown molding and courtyard are perfectly balanced with luxury, artistry and comfort. We met a lovely couple staying on their way to Colorado who seemed to enjoy their stay as much as we did. They, too, were taking in all the amenities of it's quint uniqueness. We also enjoyed chatting with the general manager, Nichole, she was beyond gracious and accommodating to each of us. On Saturday morning we had to hurry to MU, otherwise, we would have enjoyed satisfying our tastebuds with the complimentary breakfast. The aroma was definitely tempting. Our stay was perfect and we hope to enjoy the picturesque peacefulness again.
