Hotels in South Shore, Blackpool

I really like this hotel, staff are brilliant and the full bottom of bottom is great. That’s where it does end though. House keeping continuously make the same errors that I have first hand found 3 years in a row. Dirty urine and blood stained bedding. Smelly and dirty stained towels being left. Areas within room not cleaned down between stays. Basic bed change and bathroom clean however wiping all surfaces and dusting etc isn’t always done. This could be improved by house keeping inspections. I was so disappointed that I returned after a bad experience on the promise of a return for 50% cost due to issues encountered last year to find the same issues we faced again. My children left urine and blood stained duvets and pillows with the covers. Disgusting. Well over an hour to be brought more , 3 children waiting to sleep whilst I am informed the staff member was sent on a wild goose chase to locate bedding - unsure of this but thanked the staff member as it’s not front reception staff fault at the end of the day. The view and location are great but without clean rooms and bedding not even a free stay is worth considering.

Nothing wrong with the hotel in general, but the PARKING IS £18 PER NIGHT!!!!! A TOTAL RIP-OFF!! No-one told us the parking was going to cost that much! All it said on the Trip.com website was paid parking, which you don't expect to be £18 per night!!!! Very disappointing and it spoiled our trip to Blackpool. Don't think we'll be back to this hotel!!

It's a little far from Blackpool North Station, but the rooms are very spacious. It's not a super luxury hotel, but it's very clean and comfortable. There is also an elevator. The Henson hotel is a little far from the station and downtown, so if you have a large suitcase, it's a good idea to take a taxi. There are buses and trams running so it's fine even at night.

The hotel environment is ok, not near the wine bar, so the night is relatively quiet, you can see the sunset when you live in the sea view room, there is no refrigerator in the bad place, and there is no parking space, you need to enter the meter! Ordinary room, ok clean!

THE SANDS HOTEL BLACKPOOL AVOID. Walked in and was met by building materials in the reception area. And the owner manager in pyjamas. The room was dirty. Top drawer of unit was like a used ashtray. Paper peeling off the ceiling and bathroom walls. Cobwebs all over bathroom walls. Rusty shower head holder and dirty shower cubicle. Had no working lamp and only 1 bedside cabinet. The wardrobe had bits of blue tack and what looked like chewing gum too.all stuck down one side.was told TV remote was broken and they hadn't replaced so had to spend 10inutes stood looking through channels finding something to watch using buttons on TV. Hospitality tray had 4 t bags 6 sugar and 6 milk in a double room and No coffee at all (I dnt drink tea). Was looked at like I'd asked for the world when I asked for more.with wasn't there any there as the comment manager made.Kettle stopped working so phoned to ask for replacement to get told there was no one to help as she was out and if I didn't' like having to wait till she came back to property I could always F off in my van and go Home. As apparently it's an unmanned hotel ?? Went to get the iron and board off the wall holder in the hallway to have it all fall off the wall onto me it pulled wall plugs out as we're not correct fixings for stud walling.iron landed on my foot.thankfully it was a small travel iron type thing so was just left with a bruise and pain when i put shoes on later.(no breaks). The room was cold as heating wasn't on long enough to make a difference. The sheet didn't look as though it had been changed as had body hair on it. We Was told to F off when I went to complain before I left .as it was us that had purposely broke kettle. Rude and very unprofessional

Very nice hotel, environment and facilities are very new, breakfast is also good, right by the sea highly recommended

This was our 3 stay at the Alderley Hotel. Always a warm and friendly greeting awaits you. comfortable accommodation breakfast is cooked to order the full English huge and a struggle to eat. But there is a choice of other options by request. Kaz and Alten go out of their way to make you feel welcome nothing is to much to ask. A very clean and tidy establishment and affordable. We wouldn't want to stay anywhere else very convenient for the trams there is a stop just across the road and a 10min walk to Pleasure Beach.
