A retired couple, we have stayed at the Headlands Hotel, Blackpool on several previous occasions and have always enjoyed going there. This time we stayed for 2 nights, mid-week, to see the illuminations and visit the Tower Circus. Once again, we were very pleased with the Headlands, we had great breakfasts and evening meals on both days. the food was plentiful, with good choice, served piping hot by friendly attentive staff. This time, we had a double, sea facing room on the second floor which, as always, was spotlessly clean. Bed was very comfortable, tea & coffee provided in the room, shower and bath with plenty of hot water. Yes, the rooms are old-fashioned but that is the style and ambience of this hotel which, coupled with excellent, friendly service from all the staff provides a great holiday experience. Thank you Headlands, we will be back!
Carousel Hotel

We visited the Carousel in September 2020 to attend a friend's wedding and we were really impressed with the hotel, the room, the food, how spotlessly clean it was and the personal service. September 2020 was during the Covid restrictions so the hotel was quiet so was this a fluke? September 2022 the hotel was much busier but the service and standards were the same as two years earlier. Spotlessly clean, comfortable, plentiful breakfast and very friendly and responsive staff. A special mention to Gemma on reception. On the quieter South Shore it is extremely close to the tram stop and there is some parking and it's free. Had a brilliant time again and will be back next year

Excellent. Came accross this wee gem by accident after walking out of the filthy and unsafe 'oyo dora hotel' at the other end of the street. The owner was warm and welcoming and after explaining me walking out previous hotel as it felt u safe and was filthy, she simply replied 'not in my house' and asked us to have a seat while she went and checked our room over to ensure if was perfect for us. And she did not disappoint.the room was fresh, clean and comfortable you even have toiletries supplied which for the cost of the stay was a welcomed extra. The bed was clean and comfortable, my son and I did not sleep well due to noisy guests stayin above us and a car alarm going of several times over night however this was no fault of the hotel and I will defo be returning in future blackpool visits. Only negative I could say was the tvs are tiny however i would not let this put me off as who watches tv when on holiday.

THE SANDS HOTEL BLACKPOOL AVOID. Walked in and was met by building materials in the reception area. And the owner manager in pyjamas. The room was dirty. Top drawer of unit was like a used ashtray. Paper peeling off the ceiling and bathroom walls. Cobwebs all over bathroom walls. Rusty shower head holder and dirty shower cubicle. Had no working lamp and only 1 bedside cabinet. The wardrobe had bits of blue tack and what looked like chewing gum too.all stuck down one side.was told TV remote was broken and they hadn't replaced so had to spend 10inutes stood looking through channels finding something to watch using buttons on TV. Hospitality tray had 4 t bags 6 sugar and 6 milk in a double room and No coffee at all (I dnt drink tea). Was looked at like I'd asked for the world when I asked for more.with wasn't there any there as the comment manager made.Kettle stopped working so phoned to ask for replacement to get told there was no one to help as she was out and if I didn't' like having to wait till she came back to property I could always F off in my van and go Home. As apparently it's an unmanned hotel ?? Went to get the iron and board off the wall holder in the hallway to have it all fall off the wall onto me it pulled wall plugs out as we're not correct fixings for stud walling.iron landed on my foot.thankfully it was a small travel iron type thing so was just left with a bruise and pain when i put shoes on later.(no breaks). The room was cold as heating wasn't on long enough to make a difference. The sheet didn't look as though it had been changed as had body hair on it. We Was told to F off when I went to complain before I left .as it was us that had purposely broke kettle. Rude and very unprofessional
