Absolutely awful don't bother find somewhere else!! On arrival we had to phone a number to check in as the door was locked. We were told that due to a maintenance issue we could not have our room and had been moved to a different hotel for a 'like for like' room at no extra cost. On arrival to the other hotel, St Elmo we were checked in smoothly but to auch smaller room than I had booked. We recived a phone call from oyo hotels to ask if we had checked it to which I replied but definitely not to the type of room at the st Kildas from the photos anyway. Again I was told that my room was a like for like and I wouldn't be charged any extra as my room in st Elmo was more expensive! No more calls were made and I was unable to send pictures of rooms to compare to the number on the st kildas door.

Avoid…. Check-in is over the phone which we waited about 30 minutes outside in the rain before we got in. Code to get in and then another code to get into room. Room was disgusting and completely outdated! Wallpaper hanging off wall, dirty boxers under the radiator, toilet seat was hanging off and there was 2 tiny tv’s (which 1 didn’t work) Walls are paper thin, could hear everything next door and while we were sat in our room, the owner (I think) just walked in, never chapped or anything! Won’t be back

I always aim for a balanced review, but unfortunately could not find any plus points on this hotel. It was rated 3 stars on ********** how it gets this I have no idea. I want expecting the ritz for the price, but clean rooms would be nice. Check-in was a phone call, on a bad line with someone with a very heavy accent, you get a code to get the front door key, and again for your room. Our first room hadn't been cleaned, still rubbish on the floor, and dirty bedding. We had to wait in here for 15 minutes for somone to come and sort things for us. They moved us to a "better" room, and hastily left. The room was just grubby. Windowsill covered in dirt, and burn marks from somones cigs. Sink had hairs in it. The mattress was worn out, you sank to the divan base, and one of the mismatched tea/coffee mugs was still dirty, and supplies not replenished. The TV was small, but worked. Decor was poor, paper peeling off the ceiling, and no the thermostat on the radiator that was badly in need of bleeding. There's "FREE WIFI" But no codes anywhere to be able to log onto it. All in all not impressed, and unlikely to be staying in an oyo again, however cheap they are.
