Horrendous customer service management Sophie and receptionist who had a terrible manner when speaking with people Large leak from roof 2 days in a row in room .promise the world and don’t do it Food was ok but nothing to get excited about The cleaners were lovely in helping us move room

Just spent a holiday weekend with family in the royal boston hotel, food was great, entertainment every night was excellent, room where clean and comfortable, staff was very helpful, will definitely be back next year a few minor teething problems but looking forward to coming with new travel company.

Really nice place ! Great location with easy access to trams etc. This place is extremely popular with the elderly clientel so there's no noisy families running around. It's also far enough away from the chaos of the centre of Blackpool. Very nice staff and the bar is great. Good evening entertainment if you like that sort of thing. The most important thing was that the room was very clean and there was even a big bath ! The WiFi worked perfectly. We decided against the breakfast but that was available for and extra £12. Wetherspoons in town was good value btw. Highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel may feel a bit worn/grubby and in need of some updates, so agree with previous posts regarding asthetics..especially attention to detail.. (clean the inside of the lift, window sills, make sure blinds work -basics, as that is what guests notice)...but the friendly and helpful staff ( cant recall the bar mans name but he was lovely) truly make a difference, and the entertainment, especially the talented Chloe, was absolutely fantastic (west end quality) ! Really enjoyed the 2 nights entertainment/friendly warm atmosphere and tbh that pips a fluffy skirting board !

Hotel is nothing like is advertised online. It’s very tired, dated and needs a great deal of money ploughed into it, to bring it up to date and improve it, to an acceptable standard and quality for its guests. The rooms are tired and in desperate need of a lick of paint and some general maintenance. The bathroom door in the bedroom was hanging off and was only being held on with one hinge, it didn’t even fit the door frame properly and didn’t close at all. We reported this issue shortly after arrival and were told it would be rectified the following day, but this didn’t happen. The shower was barely warm and you could only just say get into the cubicle with how it was positioned in relation to the step and the sink. The food leaves a lot to be desired, while it may be acceptable to the older generation, there is very little choice and if you go any later than the 5pm starting time, it is stone cold and at times inedible. I would of preferred the kids choice over what options were given each day. The staff in the bar and in the restaurant were lovely and attentive and happy to help. Entertainment was also very poor When this was owned by Blackpool promotions it was a great hotel and we have always have had a great time on past visits, it’s quite sad to see how much it has gone down hill and how quiet it is in comparison to other years. Unfortunately we wont be returning again.

Just returned from a 2 night stay here and it was great! All staff were very polite, friendly and happy to help. The rooms were clean and very comfortable (I work within housekeeping) and there wasn't anything i could complain about - especially for the price and location right on the sea front! Was a little bit of a walk from the station/centre but tram was handy and taxi was easy to get after going out for the night. All round a lovely stay for my birthday and will definitely book again!!

Firstly staff great, as a party of six all in our sixties, we have visited hotel a few years now and meet up with a lot of other guests from different places for many years, unfortunately our yearly get together in Boston has came to an end, as top many of us will not return, due to mostly the food menu, which was terrible, many of our party had to eat from the kids menu, which wasn't great either, no reflection on the chefs, as we know through the past many visits food has been great, we had to eat out few times in the week, being all inclusive it's not right you have to go put and pay for dinner, house keeping has deteriorated rooms desperately need a refurb, and back to daily fresh towels etc, on a plus entertainment was good, though hotel was very quiet, please bring it back to old menu and clean it up

as a party of 6 couples in our 60s, we have visited this hotel a few times now and have loved it but unfortunately this time we were so disappointed. first I'd like to say the staff are great, very welcoming and friendly, no complaints at all, the entertainment every night was really good but the hotel itself has went downhill, the rooms need painted and the carpets need replaced or at least cleaned, the house keeping has had their hours cut so through no fault of their own we had to ask for clean towels, toilet roll and bins to be emptied when needed, the food menu as changed and unfortunately not for the better, if you don't like mustard, or spice then you need to eat off the kids menu, which a few of us had to a few times, there's no salad choice either, and the menus are the same every 3 days, we had to eat out a couple of times and as we were all inclusive this was unacceptable, this is no reflection on the chefs as we no they are good but can only serve what they are told as the menus made up by owners not the chefs, this hotel has been taken over by new owners so come on people get this hotel back to what it used to be like and what it deserves, food back to old or better menu and rooms cleaned up if done then it will be a great hotel again.
