Lovely place to stay. The hosts are so attentive and friendly. They checked each morning after the English breakfast (served at 9am), plus toast and cereal, that all is ok and if same was required the following day. The room was clean, warm and comfortable albeit small. It could have done with another plug point so lamp, kettle and phone chargers could be used at the same time but it wasn't really a problem. WiFi was a bit iffy (3rd floor) and the TV signal was a bit hit and miss, but we weren't in there enough to be bothered. All in all, it was a lovely stay. It is situated relatively close to the promenade and the Tower. The only thing I would say though, it's not really suitable if you have mobility needs. There is no lift (mentioned in property description) and the stairs are quite narrow in depth and steep.

Pillows were soft. Room not the biggest for a twin, bathroom needs an upgrade not the greatest for a guy that is 6ft 9” tall. Housekeeping not done. Shower runs cold for a while before it heats up. Mould in bathroom and needs redecorating. Breakfast is hearty and hot. Help your to cereals and toast.

Dated , dirty, cramped room, tv small as an iPad, staff and owners very rude. Missed breakfast as we wasn’t there for 9am even though we was told available until 10am. Window didn’t shut so noisy and draughty. Hairs on and in bed, bed also leaned to one side, stayed 2 nights left after 1 as owners lack of interest in my concerns regarding the room. Couldn’t face another night in that place. Avoid !!!!!!

Location is good and breakfast was decent but so many other things are not right which is why we were disappointed. Stayed with my daughter for 2 nights. We were seeing a show on first night. On arrival toilet would not flush. Told them on way out. It was fixed when we got back at 10.45pm. Unfortunately things got worse, as I sat on end of bed to take off my shoes, the bed collapsed. As it was late I didn't contact them but shared the other bed with my daughter. Decided on a shower before going down to breakfast and report broken bed. Shower head held on with string so once the water is turned on, the shower head falls forward so you can't stand under it. We reported bed & shower before we had breakfast. Went out, on our return, the bed had been nailed back together and more string added to the shower head. Tried to have a shower at 4.30pm but the water was cold. As we were on top floor, 4 flights up, I phoned down to ask about water, message went to answerphone but 5 minutes later there was a knock on the door telling us that water would be hot in 10 minutes. After 35 minutes water was still not hot just about luke warm so quick wash in the sink (which has a large crack and plug doesn't keep water in the sink). We went out then. So as well as the bed & the shower I could not recommend this place. Our room was very dated, needs freshening up and new bathroom. Sink with crack and cracked tiles on entrance to shower & peeling wallpaper. Also no where to plug in kettle except propped up on the radiator. Owner did apologise about the bed but really if you book for 2 nights bed & breakfast you do expect a bed each and hopefully a hot shower.

Lovely hotel, location perfect 5 minutes walk from the tower and sea front. Staff were really friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was first class. Would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat 10/10. Room was quite small but ok for me and my other half, we had heatwave while there and only one window would open. Orange juice and tea/coffee was on the table, there was 6 different cereals to help yourself to and bread and jam to help yourself too also. Breakfast was bacon, egg, sausage, fried bread, beans and tomatoes which was lovely and hot. While we were there they took delivery of new toilets sinks and beds so lots of improvements and refurbishments are being made. Staff were very approachable and I haven’t really got a bad thing to say!

Lorraine & Kevin & Son made us welcome, warm and friendly , showed us fire exits, asked what we would like for breakfast..what we drank ( tea/coffee). The room was up three flights of stairs but a lovely clean and comfortable room. Bed was good and pillows great. Breakfast was plentiful, well cooked and hot, fried bread was also available ☺️ & a Pot of tea or carafe of coffee was also on the table ready, orange juice, cereal, toast at your own leisure. Lorraine and Kevin ( sorry forgot your sons name) was always available with any queries or suggestions.. Would definitely stay again.
