The Red Rocker in was the perfect location for our visit to WNC. It’s an easy walk to town to visit the restaurants and shops. The staff is friendly and accommodating. We were stuck in traffic and arrived later than expected but we notified Violet and she met us at our new arrival time. We enjoyed the fresh-cooked breakfast each morning to start the day. The room was cozy and clean and just what we wanted for our visit. I highly recommend staying at Red Rocker!

The Red Rocker and the area continue to deal with the aftereffects of the Hurricane that hit just 60 days before. The owners let us know that they allowed volunteers to use rooms to assist the area during the time the Inn was effectively closed. This was commendable to hear. Our family had 5 rooms during this stay and were thankful the Inn was up and running again. There were 14 of us in all, and the owners made us feel as if we were at home -- and the Thanksgiving dinner was great! We highly recommend supporting Black Mountain and the Red Rocker and they continue to come back from the storm.

Such a lovely atmosphere… I love the Red Rocker Inn. This was my 4th visit~ and hopefully there will be many more to come. Giant thanks to Mike & Katy (owners) & to Violet, the lovely and thoughtful Innkeeper for making my stay exactly what I needed- rest and refreshment!

Our experience I would say is a 5. We enjoyed sitting on the red rockers on the porch and watching the fireflies at night with a cold drink. We loved that we had a bakery 3 sisters right around the corner. We loved that everything was within walking distance. Our rooms comfortable, the service was attentive and kind. And breakfast was delicious. Would have like to stay one more day to enjoy their dinner options.

Everything about Red Rocker was fabulous! The atmosphere. The food. The town. But most of all the people. Mike & Katy & Violet. They made our stay memorable. Katy is quite the chef! An added plus! We could bring our pet Laci. She loved it! And the other guests enjoyed her. Highly recommended!

Red Rocker Inn was the perfect place to base out of for our college visit at Montreat College. We loved the breakfast (biscuits especially), the rooms/beds were comfortable, it was quiet, and we took advantage of the front porch. We enjoyed walking the neighborhood streets in the morning and evening, as well as walking into town for dinner. If we ever come back to that area, we will definitely stay there again!

We stayed in the Savannah, a lovely large room with a fireplace and sofa area as well as a king-sized bed. Everything was wonderful and quiet! We were meeting friends at the Red Rocker for a little reunion and the staff could not have been nicer and more accommodating! And the breakfast is to die for!

This charming Victorian era inn was everything we hoped for. Our room on the third floor was spacious and quiet. Mike's made-to-order breakfast had many choices and was delicious. The evening innkeeper, Violet, was attentive to our needs and requests. The location of two blocks from downtown made shopping and eating out an easy adventure. At breakfast each day we met and chatted with other guests, all of whom were enjoying their stay as well. We would definitely stay there again.
