Travelling from the south up to Calais we booked this hotel for one night. Lovely village location, with ample parking and an attractive setting. Swimming pool in front and spa below the main house. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Dogs very welcome too. We opted for the evening dinner at 25euro which was a fixed three course option - local pate, Turkey casserole and mashed potatoes and plum tart or cheese. Portions plentiful and well presented. Drinks reasonable prices too and the hotel director was on hand to help service and ensure everyone was happy. The weather had turned rainy/drizzly so we ate indoors. The breakfast buffet was 13 Euro and included fresh eggs, breads, hans, cheese, yoghurt, cereal along with juice, tea and coffee. All tasty and of a high standard. Rooms clean, well furnished and thoughtful touches The only slight issue was the village clock bell struck every hour - but twice. So at 5am there were 10 chimes, 6am there were 12 chimes etc. this isn’t the hotels fault of course but if you’re a light sleeper maybe keep your window closed! Overall a lovely experience with welcoming staff.
