Travelodge Birmingham Sheldon

It is what it is, the room was clean, the staff friendly and located close to the airport. The hotel is looking its age and the communal areas are a bit tired, but as I say “it is what it is”. It’s a perfect base if you’ve an early flight from Birmingham airport. The receptionist was friendly enough, the staff in the restaurant were also attentive - even though there was a fight. But for the price it’s all acceptable and understandable. Clean bathroom, clean room, clean bed. Fine

An old place, I've been to other Travelodge hotels before but this one was really bad. The room was too small and you had to walk a long way to get to your room.

So we are having an extension built at home and to get away from the dust and mess we booked a close by room. Arrived a little later than planned (meeting friends out) dropped bags off and went straight out got back at 22:00 went to the room put the lights on and looked at the room a few minutes later we decided to leave to start there was blood on the wall!!! Used chewing gum on the side in the bathroom, stains on the bed, tea and coffee was not in the holder but loose on the side like someone had been there and pulled it all out. Floors messy. I have photos of all of this. My advice don't stay there unless you are on top of all your hepatitis shots as I'm sure you wound catch something in that room

Gail the manager was helpful with any requests. Pub area clean and tidy Staff very helpful. Nice pleasant place to go toilets nice and clean and tidy
