The hotel was clean and in a great location for the reason I was in Birmingham. It was near to the event that I was attending. The sink in my room had a stopper that prevented the water from escaping when I did not want it to collect in the sink during activities such as brushing my teeth and washing my face. The water was also cold and took an excessively long time to heat up even a little bit. It was not even lukewarm. Therefore, I checked out and was unable to shower. My son actually took a cold shower on a cold day, one of the coldest that we have had in Alabama in a while. I was also awakened by an emergency message and alarm to vacate the building due to an emergency only to learn later that it was a test. I learned this when the fire truck arrived and I heard an employee apologizing for not calling them to let them know that it was only a test. I only stayed overnight so there was no other opportunity for me to get a better impression. The only reason that I did not give a lower rating for the facilities is because once I reported the issue with the shower and sink, they sent a handy man to the room to make the repairs, but my son was already taking a cold shower at the time since we were scheduled to get back home to meet previously scheduled obligations. The staff person who was checking me out said that she couldn't do anything for me because I booked through a third party. However, she did state that she would refund the money that I paid for parking.

I went there on for business &also with family &it was very nice. They are Very Nice &Clean! Great Hospitality from the front desk &staff. They were very courteous and polite. I know where to go when I want to do things with my family away from home even though I stay in Birmingham.

I had a great experience with this hotel. I had an unexpected house fire that afternoon and they took very good care of me and my time of need. I would highly recommend to anyone

I love this hotel. Whenever I'm in Birmingham Alabama this is the hotel of choice. Breakfast is really good. Rooms are nice and clean.

Stayed there one night Doors were locked and entrance is on the back door You take a shower and there is yes a shampoo! And the second bottle you think is body wash… no body cream! Well you are in the shower already! After shower you want to brush your teeth right? Wrong! There no such a toothbrush nor toothpaste, well … after you look everywhere you see a sticker in the bathroom in small writing that says it you need any toiletries such as toothpaste toothbrush shower cup … you should go to the front desk and ask for what you need! So I’m naked just came out from the shower already mad for not finding the body wash…. And now I need to go downstairs to the front desk naked to get the toothbrush? Forget this poor service hotel

This was a great place to stay that was in downtown Birmingham and close to Children’s Hospital where we needed to go. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was a little too soft, but the room was great other than that. The hot breakfast was also great and had several options. We would definitely stay here again!

I booked this hotel for a stay for our high school tennis team and our entire stay was top notch. From booking the stay through group sales to every staff member we dealt with, I could not have asked for a better stay. The hotel was currently undergoing (and almost done with) a full renovation, so there was still some construction finishing up. That did not affect our stay. In fact, we had stayed there before the renovation, and the updates are great with all newly decorated rooms and common spaces. Teresa was our on-site contact and was not only friendly, but went out of her way to accommodate specific needs for our travel group. Breakfast on weekends typically doesn’t start until 7am, but they were able to offer a full hot and cold breakfast at 6am to accommodate our kids’ need to eat early and get to their tournament.

Hotel service and hotel location are particularly good. There are also many things to eat around. The main thing is parking safety at night. 😁

It's a nice hotel, spacious rooms and quiet. I slept better than I have in ages. The staff was very welcoming and nice at check-in, accommodated an early check-in, and sent me several messages to see if I needed anything during my stay. However, when I did send a message inquiring about a possible late checkout (three, actually, over a 14 hour span, both via text and in the app), I did not receive a response. I felt like they were clearly ignoring me or avoiding the question. Even if the answer was no, I would have appreciated a response. Eventually I called and the front desk staff was somewhat rude to me and said ”it already is late check out” which doesn't make sense since it was not yet the published checkout time. After I checked out and was reviewing my statement, I noticed I had been charged for parking even though I did not drive. I went back to the front desk to request a refund of these charges; she did process the refund, but implied it was my responsibility to tell the staff at check-in that I was not parking (no one asked me). I've been staying at Hilton brand hotels almost exclusively for over a decade and am a diamond member, I have ALWAYS been asked if I was parking or not, not automatically charged.
