I was allow to park right in the front of the door - handicap parking too much noise last night there at midnight

Everything looked and smelled clean. The room was very nice, and the fixtures were especially elegant, and surprisingly so, for such a reasonable rate.You can tell that the owners of the hotel went out of their way to add some special touches to the decor. The front desk staff and dining room hostess were especially pleasant. The breakfast offerings were at least as varied as you can get at this price point anywhere else. The customer ratings for this hotel were a little higher than those of a similar price point, definitely this close to Birmingham's city center, and those ratings are well justified.

Room was clean and prepared well. Lobby and elevators smelled strongly of cleaning supplies. Free breakfast was average.

It was just an ok hotel. The smell in the lobby area was a little extra strong. I don’t know if they were trying to mask another smell. The rooms were ok. I really try to rate on cleanliness because that’s what I look for in a hotel reviews. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t good. Just ok.

No hot water 9pm. We all took cold shower. Fragrance in the lobby and hallway is too strong. People are nice. I tried this hotel due to convenience but I will stick with crossplex location which is way cleaner and nicer.

Very clean and the bed was very comfortable. I liked the dumbbells my family and I were able to get a nice back/bicep workout. Breakfast was fulfilling and I liked that u had to use your passkey to get into these areas. Overall a nice experience!

To be fair, there was only one staff member who was terrible and I sure hope his management helps him learn how to better handle guests. After my flight was cancelled on the first day of my 2-night stay, I called the hotel to say I would not be arriving until the next day. The same man who checked me in the next day was the one who answered the phone that night and warned me that my whole reservation would probably be cancelled if I "no-showed." I explained that I would be arriving as soon as there was another flight. However, when we arrived the next day our 2-night stay had indeed been cancelled. When I asked if our room had been sold to someone else he told me "no." So I asked to please be given a room and he told me I'd have to pay again. I was not refunded for my pre-paid stay when they cancelled -- he wanted more money in addition. So of course I asked to speak with a manager. No manager appeared to be on-site, and the front desk attendant refused to call someone to help. It wasn't until I called the Choice Hotels 800 number and explained my situation that he decided to get permission to reinstate my reservation. This was our 2nd stay at this particular location which is nice and close to the college my daughter is thinking of attending. I'm disappointed that this happened and hope for better trained attendants if we ever return.

Booked for a few days off in the area, I was pleasantly surprised to realized that I have stayed here before. My mentored was that was a good stay and this was as well. Good friends stuff and great quality for the price. The rooms and services are well maintained and convenient. I would stay again in a heartbeat/

Cleck in was easy. The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast adequate. Would definitely recommend this hotel for a pleasant stay.
